This topic is for all the ones who make bad cards,and the people don't like.Because of this,they give advices,say bad stuff and give neg rep.If someone has already wrote an Tutorial like this;I'm sorry.

So,here are some hints to do not be hated because your cards:

 

-FIRST OF ALL!!!!THE YUGIOH CARD MAKER IS A SITE TO POST CARDS!!!IT'S NOT A PUT-IMAGE-AND-POST GAME!!!

 

-Don't make Divine-Beast cards.

 

-Don't make ''LOL!!!BAD 'I'M JUST KIDDING' MONSTER BCUZ I JUST WANT TO ANNOY ERVURY ONE!!!!''.

 

-Don't put photos on the cards.

 

-Effect cards are made for effects,not description,like :

''This card can use his power to destroy enemies and etc.''.

 

-Normal cards DON't HAVE EFFECTS!!!Why do you think they are NORMAL monters??

 

-If you have an ready Set,or you're making one and it will not take so many time,wait and post it TOGETHER,THEY WILL AWFULLY HATE YOU IF YOU FILL THE ENTIRE THREAD PAGE WITH YOUR CARDS.

 

-If somebody critique and your card is really bad,you can ask for more advices and improve your cards.DON'T GIVE A NEG REP JUST BECAUSE HE/SHE DIDN'T LIKE YOUR CARDS!!!If the one you gave a neg rep is right?If you really have to make them better?

 

-OCG:Hard as the hell to remember,but you will be rewarded.

 

-Don't make overpowered cards (people HATE this)

If you don't know what means OVERPOWERED,it means:

 

Make a card with more ATK and DEF that it should be,like an 4-star 2100 ATK or higher.

If it has more than 2100 (or even 2000) ,it has to have an downgrade effect,like turning to Defense Position,while the defence is low,or decreasing ATk,or even destroyed after the attack.

The monsters attack should be (aproximately)<-I wrote it right?

1 star - Normally,Normal monsters or even tokens.The ATK is extremely low, like 0-500.If it has an effect,it shouldn't be good.

 

2 stars - Lightly stronger than the 1-star monsters.Again,Normal or bad-effect monsters.(except those annoying effect monsters,like morphing jar) ATK and DEF - 300-1300.

 

3 stars - Now,they get stronger,and they have plenty good effects,with the ATK and DEF ballanced. ATK and DEF - 700-1600.

 

4 stars - These are hard to make.They can't be strong,but can't be weak.If they have good effects,the ATK and DEF are reduced,but it will become as weak as a 3 star monster.Make the effects ballanced,like adding Spell Counters,drawing cards,etc.Maybe can destroy a Spell/Trap card,but with a balanced cost.ATK and DEF-These are hard,something about 1500-2000,but don't forget:2000 or higher ATK monstrers have an downgrading effect.NOTE:The best cards I know up to now (4 stars),have 2000 ATK (Warped-Gene Warwolf) and 2200 DEF (Giant Golem the Moving Fortress).

 

5 stars - 1 tribute,so,we'll make it tiny better than the 4 star or lower cards.If has a good effect,low ATK and DEF,but try to do not make lower than the >4 stars cards.ATK and DEF - 1800-2300.

 

6 stars - They are the 5 stars on steroids.Same rule to above,but a bit stronger.ATK and DEF- 2000-2500(2600 passing the limit).

 

7 stars - 2 tributes.Strong,but do not go through the limit.Normally,they have good effects,like destroying Spells/Traps/Monsters on the field.ATK and DEF - 2400-2800.

 

8 stars - The same stuff that 6 stars,but this applies to 7 stars.They have great ATK and DEF,and great effects.BE CAREFUL TO DO NOT MAKE THEM OVERPOWERED!!!ATK and DEF- 2600-3000(After 3000 trepassing the limits).

 

9 stars - After this limits,we star to make GOOD monsters,with good effects and stats.Most of them cannot be Normal Summoned.ATK and DEF - 2800-3500.

 

10 stars - If you're making a monster with THAT nimber of stars,you should make REALLY good effects,and status.BUT,they are really hard to Summon.You should make just ''Tribute This-Monster to Summon'', ritual or fusions.Also,after this point we start making ''?'' ATK and DEF monsters.ATK and DEF - You decide.But remember-NO OVERPOWERING!!!

 

11 stars - Almost the maximum.So , TERRIBLY GREAT ATK,DEF,EFFECTS AND ALL.But,they are awfully hard to Summon.

ATK and DEF - After this point,I don't have any advices about this.

 

12 stars - If you're making a monster with these stars,you must be THIRSTY OF POWER!!!!!LOL!!!!

These monster make even a pain to you to Summon them.They have extremely great effects and status.MOST OF NOOBS CREATE OVERPOWERED 12 STAR MONSTERS TO GIVE A GREAT ENTRY ON THE SITE,but,no.Make balanced.

 

-Spells and Traps rules:

Don't make Overpowered Spells/Traps.It means:A good effect without a fair cost.

->Return to deck/hand normally asks for a certain monster on the field.

->''Reborn'' cards have often a cost.I just don't know how Monster Reborn is a Limited card now,because you just get and ''reborn'' from your graveyard,without any costs.Most of them are Equip cards.To make this kind of cards,make sure that the monster is just from your graveyard.They have high costs:800/1500 life points,or even tribute a monster.The only exception here is O-Oversoul,but just affects Normal E-Hero Monsters.

->Controlling cards:Have short period effects or high costs.Change of heart don't have any cost or period.(That's why it's forbidden on the tournaments)

->Equip cards - Adding Attack cards have an downgrading effect.Adding ATK should be considered depending on a second effect.The better the effect,the worst ATK-adding.

->Field:this cards have 4 styles:

-Adding 500 ATK and subtracting 400 DEF

-Adding 200 ATK and DEF for an certain type/attribute and subtracting from an opposite Attribute/type

-Special effects fields,like ''a legendary ocean'',''angel sanctuary''

-Increasing 300-400 ATk and DEF to a certain type or archetype of monsters.

->Continuous:Hard to make,because they have to have a good,but bad effect.If they have good effects,put some costs/conditions,like ''don't have any monsters on the field''

->Counter traps-These cards negates the effect of other Spell/Trap/Monster cards.They usually requires a balanced cost,like paying life points or discarding cards.

 

NOTES:

-Ritual Monsters are hard to Summon,so,make them quite strong,compared to Normal and Effect Monsters.

 

-Fusion monsters - Biggest the number of monsters to Summon,the stronger.(Except with these ''the more number of materials,the stronger'')

 

-ALL the hints i wrote here are just HINTS,they are optional.

 

-Synchro monsters-For REEEEEALLY advanced card makers.Jus make one if you're sure it's good.

 

Finally,if you want to arrive on the side,well-wellcomed,just make an Set balanced,and you will recieve rep,advices and more,just to be better at making cards.

 

 

REMEMBER:THE MORE U TRAIN THE BETTER YOUR CARDS WILL STAY!!

Strongest Level 4 Monsters

Giant Kozaky (2500:2400)

D-Hero Defender (100:2700)

 

Really??But they don't have an downgrading effect,right?Because I mentioned good stats cards without downgrading effects.The two effects you just mentioned are downgrading.One lets your opponent draws 1 extra card,the other is destroyed if a certain monster is not on the field.

You gave a tutorial on how to make good monster cards' date=' You mentioned almost nothing about Spells or Traps. I suggest adding Spells and Traps to the tutorial, so we don't get noobs making great monsters, but terrible Spells and Traps, sometimes noobs take things to literal.
