Why do these suck?

Rip hype for final fantasy archetype

It may have to do with not having all the Fusion Attributes (yet), needing Super Poly to take full advantage of that if they did have them (for now), and needing one specific guy to even bring the Fusions out "normally" (that is, barring Instant Fusion and such).

The other game-original Summoning mechanic SP themes had Field Spells that are central to their strategy, so apart from other Omni-Fusions, I wouldn't be surprised if this theme got a Field Spell packaged with a built-in Super Poly or something.

Not necessarily, all currently revealed cards are solid and we have not really seen much of them yet ... assuming they do not end like that magnus archtype.

But let us now take a look at the cards each on their own:

1.) Aleister the Eidolon Summoner: 1.) First effect: A Kalut type of effect.

Second effect: An on Normal Summon (and flipping) searching effect for the archtypes (main) fusion spell.

2.) Stats: nothing special, however low enough to be a target for several cards, most notably being Crush Card Virus (especially as this can be fused from the grave).

3.) (Notable) Searchers: Dragodies, the Empowered Warrior, Fusion Conscription, (Gold Sarcophacus), (Creeping Darkness), Fusion Reserve.

2.) Eidolon Summon Magic: 1.) A Fusion Spell that can use monsters from the hand, field, and either players grave as materials.

No limit to how many can be used each turn.

2.) A recycle effect for itself and Aleister, making sure the player can play with a single Aleister and Eidolon left.

Has a hard once per turn clause.

3.) Riadeen the Eidolon Beast (hello raiden): 1.) Omni Fusion Summon requirements.

2.) Specifically mentions Aleister, which is a double-edged sword, meaning Reserve and Conscription search Aleister, however Aleister is non-optional.

Which does not mention is the archtype gets handled similar to Cyber Dragons, which they might.

3.) A quickplay Book of Moon effect, with a soft once per turn clause.

4.) Alright stats for his level, however very reliant on its effect.

                                                                        5.) Another Instant Fusion target.

4.) Elysion the Eidolon Beast: 1.) Rather specific Summon Requirements.

2.) Requires one of the Fusions in the grave or on the field, which makes Instant Fusion (and Fusion Tag) more valuable (if we do not get Main Deck Beasts).

3.) Decent stats, on top of superior DEF.

4.) Counts as every Attribute, so it works with every card of the Virus series (except Crush Card Virus, which Aleister already handles), Honest, Fuh-Rin-Ka-Zan, Elemental Burst, etc.

5.) A quickplay mass banishing effect, which turns into a superior Raigeki if it tributes itself, however can use resources from the grave, in case that suffices.

The "archtype" is rather interesting, however could end up like Super Quantal, meaning being extremely undersupported, on top of that the archtype gets significantly weaker than one might expect if they do not get an Omni Fusion for each Attribute.

Lol the synergy between Aleister and Summoning Magic is awesome.

2 card combo

Aleister + Brifu

Activate Brifu, milling Tricklown.

Summon Trickclown

NS Aleister, search Summoning Magic

Activate Summoning Magic, fusing Aleister + Seraphinite into whatever the EARTH Eidolon Beast is.

Use effect of Summoning Magic to shuffle itself into the deck and return Aleister to hand.

NS Aleister, search Summoning Magic

Overlay Aleister + Tricklown into whatever Rank 4

Use Rank 4's effect

Activate Summoning Magic, fusing the Rank 4 with the EARTH Eidolon Beast into Elysion

BEWM! I made a combo!

EDIT: Obviously, this is independent of whatever your opponent has. If they have something you can use, then this can be better.

EDIT2: OR, make your Rank 4 be Castel, get a shuffle and fuse Castel + Aleister in grave into Raideen

Been quite a while since we got a monster that was treated as every Attribute.

Sorry, I know I'm being pedantic scum, but it's not DIVINE

damn that was cathartic

EDIT: However, it is relevant in case god.deck becomes relevant. These could have a shitty matchup against Ra turbo or whatever
