They could search Ruffian Railcar (but why would they want to), but those using Machina can search Gearframe. That's about it for what Trains could add.

Would have been nice if it had said Level 4 or higher instead, since the Level 4s you want to use in Trains is pretty limited, but I suppose it's decent in other Rank 4 Machine Decks.

Right now we aren't sure if Chaos Giant even gets a power boost from Power Bond. And honestly, why even attack direct when Giant just powers through all of your opponent's monsters for game anyways?

Its search effect is not really relevant, considering X Giant is better, however it allows regeneration if the attack gets interrupted, considering it is supposed to be a finisher anyways. Basicly one might say it is heartlandraco for machines, which has a higher base potential of +10% and can allow other monsters to deal even more dmg. All in all a solid addition, though nothing too spectacular.

The search effect is very relevant IMO. If you didn't need to search a monster immediatly, you can go for this instead of Gigant X so you can deal a sizable chunk of damage beforehand.

Rank 10 trains might not care, but Rank 4 Trains can to search Expressroid, Steamroid and Dekoichi the Battlechanted Locomotive.

It's a good Rank 4 for Machines, that's for sure. ABC's, Geargias (rest in peace), and anything that uses a Rank 4 Machine engine will appreciate this as a card to go into. Of course you don't go into it for the search, but the search is a nice tag that means you're either getting compensated for its removal, or your opponent is using their stronger/more valuable cards to deal with what is basically a glorified Heartland Draco.

 

It's a strong rank 4, but it's a shame that this is what they decide to make a Train card; especially considering that Trains do not do Rank 4 outside of Norden, and that play can't go into this. Great Machine R4; terrible card for Trains.

Every now and then a good 2200 direct attack can close off a game. But I won't bank on this card too much, as Geargigant's active searching ability is miles better. Probably as a 1-of at maximum.
