Let's see, what do you want to do here?

  • Custom Cards: Pretty much the main area (or supposedly anyway), where you use the cardmaker to post stuff you made. I'm going to warn you ahead of time that Advanced IS designed for more competitive aspects / flavor, so expect to hear A LOT about the competitive game in reviews. [And I'm saying this as that section's moderator for two years]
  • TCG: Go talk about new releases in the game, format discussions and other stuff; regardless if Yugioh or another game.
  • Fanfics: Should be self-explanatory; write spinoffs of favorite series or your own stuff.
  • RP: Roleplaying stuff
  • Showcase: Post graphics and other things.
  • Anime/Manga: Self-explanatory; talk about stuff (Movies/TV Shows have the equivalent function for more traditional stuff)
  • Literature: Regular books
  • Music: Favorite bands and songs
  • General: Pretty much anything you want that's forum-appropriate and warrants some discussion.
  • Clubs & Organizations: Fan-groups and pretty much places to chat about stuff.
  • Debates: More serious issues; just be aware that the section can/will get extremely heated in certain cases.
  • Miscellaneous: Random posting.

Dova already told you to read over the rules (and you really should, since a lot of new members tend not to, and their initial experiences here tend to get marred by their actions for not doing so). While the standard site rules are universal, the enforcement in each individual section aren't and depend on the staff in charge; what is permissible in one area may not be so elsewhere (or not to the same degree).

 

Anyway, if you need help around, feel free to PM me or one of my colleagues. For specific mods in forums, read the following list.

Custom Cards: Me, Gadjiltron/Trebuchet MS, Black (if any issues come up about the rulebook and policies, you should ask me since I wrote all of the rules for the sections.)

TCG: evilfusion, Koko, Nai, Flame Dragon (be mindful that latter two deal with the Other TCG areas, or card games that aren't Yugioh)

Fanfics/RP: Nai, Aix (be warned that these are their common names; at present, their names are 蓮子 and Pikari, respectively)

Showcase: Smear, Night (ask Smear if you have questions about Showcase or GFXing as a whole; Night is technically busy)

Anime/Manga & Movies/TV Shows: Smear, Phantom Roxas

Literature: Aix

Video Games: Flame Dragon

Music: .Rai

General / Debates / Clubs / Miscellaneous: Hi I'm Dad, .Rai

I'm a bit late to the welcome party, but better late than never. Hello Stormtrout, and welcome to YCM. I'm Yui, and you probably won't see much of me unless you venture into RP or Misc. I see that Dova already covered reading the rules, and Sakura even provided a nifty list of all the sections and what to do in each one! I should actually save that somewhere so that I can use it to greet future newbies if I beat him to the punch :O

 

So yeah, be good, don't make an ass of yourself, and most of all, have fun. Looks like you're settling in already, so you're here forever now. Might as well get comfy ^_~
