Card A stays true to Ra's original form, in the sense that it pays LP in order to gain ATK. It also borrows form obelsik, being untargatable, and tacks on an anti-destruction clause as well. However, its innitial ATK gain is dependent on the monsters tributed to summon it, and even then it isn't clear on weather it gains the total original ATK or ATK on the field.

Card B goes in a different direction than Original Ra. It gains Original ATK of monsters tributed, and is unaffected by all card effects the turn its summoned. The new direction this takes is to further the 3 ra form loop by sending pheonix mode to grave instead of dying.

Overall, I think that card B just does a better job of things than card A does. So yeah, Card B.

(In terms of the stat gain on A, you can assume that the values are determined from what the Tributed monsters had on the field; not what they end up with in the Graveyard/ED/banished area from original stats. I checked on stuff like the Maju Garzett forms; those specify original ATK, but these don't.)

Card A is pretty much the anime version of Ra that got properly translated into a real card, well at least the stat gaining part (both the monster Tributes + the LP to ATK thing). I do like that it still retains effect immunity, bar for rare cases where cards don't destroy/target things. I'm not really a fan of this just being a copy of the anime Ra, but it's leagues better than the one Konami decided to make for real life.

Card B only has one turn blanket immunity, but at least it prevents the opponent from stopping you from OTKing or whatever on that turn. Like AEZ mentioned, this lets you set up for Immortal Phoenix and have it ready in case the opponent does get around its one-time protection. Not like you'll use it much, but being able to Tribute monsters regardless of DEF is nice.

(At least both of them can be Special Summoned, so that helps Ra actually become viable and retains its anime flavor.)

----

A has more consistent protection, but its effects are basically the anime version's ones. Nothing wrong with that in terms of playability (like I mentioned, Konami's version is worse, but it's just a power booster for the most part, albeit one that'll be rather difficult to remove.

B gets around negation effects and whatever attack locks the opponent might have up during its summoning turn, plus sets up Immortal/God Phoehix in case it needs to protect itself from common removal.

----

Voting for B also, due to set-up opportunities and design (well, it does something unique as opposed to being a copy from the anime/manga).
