Opinions on me and my avi and why u no discord bro? I miss you fam, never had i heard someone refer to a gay person as a "man of another cloth" before, where will i get all these wise sayings now huh? 

 

It's like a cross between a kitten and an Axolotl and is adorable. I want one. You are the origional Spinda yes? If yes, you are pretty cool. Need a little more self confidence but who on this site doesn't? Except maybe Agro, Kate and Koko. 

 

I will be on Skype eventually. I would say Uni is keeping me busy but that's a lie. I'm just lazy. Most evenings I could Discord I would rather just read and listen to music instead so I do. 

 

 

Which sources do you frequent for statistics for the sake of political arguments?

Google, the BBC and reddit mostly. 

 

It's not really a matter of having any one site, it's more persistence in seeking the information out. I am happy to just follow links on a search on a topic till I find useful statistics. Reddit is useful for that, because even if the topics are kinda useless you can find at least one person with an interesting article or two in comments, or who has done the research themselves.

 

If you want anything specific. For better or for worse government sites are usually the best for raw data. Since even if they are using the data in entirely the wrong fashion, the data itself usually stands up to scrutiny

 

Essentially put some time and effort into the search and you'll find a lot of interesting data around a given topic, even if it's not always strictly useful.

Oh well, i can totally respect that, alot of the time when friends wanna skype call and stuff im pretty reluctant because i like to listen to music and watch youtube.

Yeah the baby Otter looked like a tuft of fur. And it reminded me of the Axolotl's we used to have at High School. 

 

Why did you quit YGO

 

I quit playing IRL the first time because I had no one to play it with. Then I found this place and started play again a bit and playing on DN.

 

I then quit playing IRL again because I discovered MTG and had people to play it with. And I quit playing on DN because I was terrible at the game and because I discovered DOTA. 

 

And since then the game is just unrecognisable to me, and I don't feel a desire to really play it anymore. If I want to play something competitive-ish I'd play DOTA. If I wanted to play a TCG I'd play Magic, if I wanted to play a CCG I'd play Duelyst (Because it's fascinating). If I wanted to play a terrible game I'd play Hearthstone. 

 

Most of the time I play single player strategy stuff nowadays anyway - Old Command Conquers, Civ 5 or Total War games. I burnt myself out on multiplayer stuff.

 

 

Do you think Sanders might run again? (Or if not, do you think Warren will run for prez?)

 If you mean this cycle? No, if Hillary falls ill they'll stick Biden in there most likely.  Because you don't replace a candidate who went down to health issues with someone older. If you mean next cycle - He'd either be 79 or 83, he'd be waaay too old to run as much as I admire the man. Similar to Warren. Warren technically has more power where she is I think?

 

You are alright. I feel like you could branch out in your opinions/thought processes on the world. At least read a little more on both sides of a given argument. But you seem a pretty nice guy.

There's 3 sections on YCM? O.o In seriousness, the whole Customs section and graphics deserve applause because they are still semi active. Plus the mods in charge of them have done amazing jobs in either turning the section around as per CC or giving it life as per Graphics. Black, Night and I think Striker? Deserve some credit where it's due. 

 

The third would be general because it's the one I frequent most. Even if it is a bit sheet.

But he refused to "get into name calling" and call Duke deplorable.

 

So all the headlines are Pence supports Duke

The Ghetto is poor in this one. 

 

I listen to all sorts of music. I don't really have a particular favourite genre, I'll just listen to what takes me. Sometimes that'll be Prog Rock like Fair to Midland or Porcupine Tree, sometimes it's Red Hot Chilli Peppers. Sometimes it's Nina Simone and classical Jazz. And sometimes it's listening to really trashy 00's pop. 

 

Have you watched the opening to Guardians of the Galaxy?

 

You mean Birdie? Birdie is cool. 

 

Infinite Luck? Uuuuh, take them to Vegas and give them a lot of change. They'd win everything and eventually be crushed to death beneath the wait of slot machine winnings. If you are actually writing that into something, diminishing luck is probably better. So they get less lucky as a fight stretches out. 

 

 

Recommend some books?

What do you think of Shard? Craft? Me?

Shard? Shard is a nice enough fellow but can get a little caught up in there own opinion and feel a need to force it down everyone's throats. Which is a shame.

 

You? We don't interact that much, but I can tell you are a libertarian (Or at least closely follow along with their ideals) so we are essentially direct opposites on most things that matter to me. But that's cool, it would be boring if everyone had the same opinion on everything. My main issue with you is you don't try hard enough to look at statistics from other sides, or consider stats you throw up in enough context. But in fairness I do similar so it's not a big thing. 

 

 

Preferably something not too fantastic. If I had to choose, dark human drama, something along those lines. Something like Kafka's The Trial.

Gone Girl is something loosely along those lines. And it's a really good book with an apparently fantastic adaptation (I have it on DVD like two feet away from me but I've been lazy in watching it). There's a book called Nod which is pretty short but has a fun premise. Room as well probably classes along those lines. 

 

Along more classical lines there's really heavy stuff like Heart of Darkness. 

 

It's not a genre I've read a huge amount of, so these are the only things that come to mind and they are pretty common ideas so

 

 

Do you write? What do you write if you do?

 

I used to write a lot. It was my ambition to be an author. But life circumstances kinda killed my ability to write fiction. 

 

I still have a lot of ideas for stuff I'd love to write, but I just can't put words on a page that satisfies me so. 

 

Mostly I wrote fantasy and sci-fi. More fantasy because I found it easier to write that sci-fi, but I think some of my sci-fi ideas are better. It was usually fairly grim, because I was that sort of teenager. It would be fun to write again oneday, but it's not a priority right now.

I still think Brexit was the worse decision. But I'm cooled down about it like most people are because it hasn't happened yet so there is nothing to consider currently. I still think it won't happen because May is just delaying it, and there's been almost no talk on actual ideas of what we want (I missed like three weeks of May's time though so I could be wrong). Until something changes around that, there's not much to feel. And even then the effects won't be clear for a year or two. 

 

As for you: My opinion is pretty consitent. You, despite whoever you may be as a person are a disruptive member on any forum. You get personally involved in debates far to often and it gets really irritating because it means you don't debate, you act defensively instead. You also get far too worked up about 'SJW's' to the extent I would class you as the right wing version of one. Just as SJW's irrationally oppose anything that may be loosely defined as hate speech, you seem to be radically opposed to anything that could be considered supportive or at times decent. 

 

But you're like Texan or something similar so it's expected. Seriously when I found out you were from around Texas every viewpoint you've ever had made sense. 

 

Basically you just need to mellow out, and you need to get better at discussing things without causing controversy. That includes the way you phrase and frame an argument. That seems true of a lot of America (Especially the mellow out part. This random hatred of liberals I see is stupid. They are idiot's, let them be idiots in peace and stop drawing attention to it).
