But yeah, it's kind of pointless, unless you get satisfaction from adding someone and getting added back.

To be fair, I don't have a ton of friends IRL either, and out of fairness, half the guys on my friend lists are no longer here (b/c they're from the old generation of YCM) or I rarely speak to them nowadays.

 

But yeah, aside from them showing up on profile, the friend system doesn't do anything important (aside from indicating people you talk to often).

I know. It just reminded me of the fact that I don't have friends. It's not a problem, it was meant as a joke.

I guess it's helpful to have that list of links to the profiles of people you talk to and might PM. Otherwise, it just allows you to perpetrate the illusion that you actually have friends.
