Krein Posted August 27, 2016 Report Share Posted August 27, 2016 So yeah, here's my deck for Darklords. I decided to use a Shaddoll engine for certain flavor purposes and because why the hell not? It ended up working fairly well, and can draw quite a bit of cards with Ixtab, Allure of Darkness, and Shaddoll Beast's Flip and Graveyard effects. El Shaddoll Winda is obviously there as a floodgate, and doesn't really hinder me all too much since I'm usually summoning her once I've got a decently sized field established. The rest of the extra deck is filled with random toolbox cards. No Darklord Lucifer. He wound up being dead like 99% of the time, so he had to endure a second fall and get cast out of the deck. Darj Posted August 27, 2016 Report Share Posted August 27, 2016 I'm thinking you can try -1 Beast and -1 Shaddoll Dragon for +2 Squamata. Squamata pretty much doubles as copies of other Shaddolls anyway, plus it's a different Shaddoll to trigger from a Fusion Summon, as opposed to getting less profitable plays from using 2 copies of the same Shaddoll as a last resort. I guess having a Rank5 in the Extra Deck is handy for using Winda for an Xyz Summon and remove the lock to follow up with plays, but I'm not sure if Shark Fortress is the best Rank5 to pick in this metagame and the upcoming ones. I know it can finish games and all, but how often does it shine? How has it worked for you? Personally I'm leaning towards giving Durendal or Volcasaurus a try first, but that's up to you. Sure, that sounds like a good suggestion, so I'll try it out. Triple beast was bricking some anyway, and I did wind up using two of the same Shaddolls for Winda every now and then too. Shark Fortess was thrown in there at the last minute to replace the R7 that was supposed to be made with two Mastemas. He's not worth summoning through his double discard effect, though, and Lucifer obviously isn't here anymore to Special Summon two Mastemas from the deck. I did consider Volcasaurus and Durendal, and will keep them in mind if Shark Fortress turns out to be an average investment. I'd swap out gustav for hungry hungry spider.
