Hello, I'm Theo Vellum, and if you know me for any length of time you will know that I love fan made content. For some reason though, it only took me a few months after I started playing Yugioh to realize that there could be fan made cards out there. And low and behold, there are!

Yes I have only played this game for a few months, no I am not an expert in any way shape or form and will probably need a lot of advice.

Do I still want to create my own cards? Yep.

Hopefully I'll make quite a few friends who can help me out around here. Hope to see you all soon!

Welcome to YCM, Theo! I hope you enjoy your time here, and I'm looking forward to seeing what cards you do!

 

I run the Advanced Multiple Review Thread, and, if you decide that you are up to scratch and post there, I'd happy to review your sets through that (no guarantees for time though, quite some backlog :P)

 

In any case, if you need help with designing Custom Cards or with understanding the current Metagame, feel free to ask! There are quite a few helpful guides as well, with a card grammar one being present in the Advanced section.

I'm Sakura, one of the moderators of Custom Cards, so feel free to message me with any concerns regarding your cardmaking. 

 

Now then, since you say that you've only been playing for a few months, my advice would be to start off in the Casual section. Basically, get yourself familiar with our design standards and how to make a card, then when you get better, progress on to Advanced, which does work on the competitive gamestate and all, like Dova mentioned. 

 

Anyway, please take the time to read the general site rules and even the specific rules for Custom Cards.

Also, when you post cards, make sure you use Imgur or another image sharing site for it. It's also advised to post written versions of it.

 

Once you get acquainted, there are several other sections to get involved in which are quite fun. Miscellaneous is chock full of memes, General is where you can talk about anything, or you can talk about existing cards in the TCG/OCG section. Most of the Creative Commons are dead, but they're there, too.

 

Don't forget to read the rules and obey the advanced clause.
