Dessert

Recommended Posts

Haven't had a nice simple General topic in a while so here we go. Dessert, love it, hate it, don't care? What kinds of desserts do you like, have you tried, and do you want to try? Have you ever made your own, if so, what? Talk all about the sweet treats as long as you don't spam. spam would be a crappy dessert anyway

While I wholeheartedly agree that cheesecake is very nice, I'm afraid I must disagree on it being the best dessert. I am in a love-hate relationship with ice cream. It's probably my favorite dessert I can easily access, but I have crap teeth and there's this one tooth on the lower-left that can randomly become really sensitive to cold so if I eat ice cream there's a chance my mouth will feel like it's being torn apart from the inside out. It's totally worth it though, especially if the ice cream in question is mint chocolate chip. Slap some chocolate syrup on that sucker and my day is made.

Ice cream is my favorite dessert, hands down. The texture, the varying flavors (my favorites being Mint Chocolate Chip, coffee, and chocolate), and how it can be applied to other desserts. Plus, call me weird, but I prefer my desserts cold.

Honorable mentions include tiramisu, cookies, and doughnuts.

Is apple pie considered a dessert? <3

Yes it is.

I would probably eat dessert every day if I could, but my dad is a """vegan""". He's really weird about his health and considered becoming a vegan until I told him all the things he couldn't eat.

One time I tried to go without eating dinner but just ended up eating two slices of cake, at least one brownie, 3 eclairs, and a handful of peanut butter chocolates. I would make a terrible model.

I like Tiramisu.

I'm the big dessert guy in my family. If I've eaten a large dinner, give me, like, two minutes and then I'll order dessert, it's like my brain wills my stomach to get less full when there's dessert involved. And my favorite is without a doubt cheesecake, it's fantastic.

I'm the one in my family who will eat literally any and all kinds of dessert. If it's sweet, I will eat it.

That said, my favorite dessert (as of late) has to be mochi. They're great for when you want a sweet thing, but don't want something as big as a piece of cake or something. Plus the Trader Joe's near my house sells some awesome mochi, so they're really easy to get.

...I may or may not have gained a few pounds from eating so many mochi. >.>

Apple Crumble exterminates all. It has an almost identical (glorious) taste to apple pie but it has the added crunch (it's also easier to make than apple pie).

Also, i have to say that Tiramisu is up there with Apple Crumble as the ruler of dessert. it's just SO PERFECT.

I enjoy eating a homemade vanilla pudding with blue berries on top of it. I am quite fond of ice cream cake, although I refrain from eating chocolate I'll eat it in this form

I also love to eat those large soft pretzels with a sweet dip. Cinnamon rolls are something I haven't consumed in a while but really yearn for. Glazed especially.

Cheesecake is the most glorious human invention in the history of history. Only really good vanilla ice cream can compete.

i was about to come in here and voice my opinion about dessert and this very first post encapsulated my thoughts already.

but i do hate normal cake.
