David Duke weighing a run for Congress.

2016, the gift that just keeps giving

I hope that's sarcasm.

If not, this genuinely worries me.

EDIT: Should mention this has nothing to do with the immigration issue. This is more about the minorities already living here, such as me. I don't think I'd trust a former KKK leader to do the right thing in office.

Well, it was dry humor. I'm amused cause I though this year had reached its capacity for crazy

I think he made this decision recently because he realized that there are people who will support people running for public office for being openly bigoted or appealing to those who are. So I assume he is riding that hype train to get in on the opportunity with increased odds in his favor.

there's no odds in his favor though. he's reading the situation so badly i'm surprised his vision works at all. an open dick and an open racist are two different things. this'll hopefully be a healthy reminder of that for the people as a whole.

I question if you know what the word bigot means if you're trying to equate Trump and Duke

I am not equating the two, I am saying that Duke could mask his true intentions under the guise of political incorrectness. Since there are some who praise Trump for being politically incorrect, which is what I was referring to when I meant that David Duke would ride the hype train. Sure, people may know what Duke represents but it won't be that much of a slippery slope for some to agree with him on certain issues to the point of endorsement.

I don't buy it. Trump is PIC in that he won't mince words. It's pretty hard IMO go hide overt racism under a Trumpian Umbrella

the difference being that trump, when you look at his policies, his words, and his actions, is just a dick. nothing wrong with that really. so long as his policies are proper, i could care less about him being a dick. jill stein ftw though

in the case of duke, he's an outspoken white supremacist. he might have some good policies, but he is literally advocating the superiority of one race over all the others. i wouldn't vote for anybody who advocated a single race above all others.

as dad said, if he wins, i'll eat my shorts. thinking about it though, this'll be a good test, to see how many people would vote for somebody so openly racist.

"There are millions of people across the country who would like to have me in the Congress. I'd be the only person in Congress openly defending the rights and the heritage of European Americans,"

Oh funk you.  This only makes sense if you consider European heritage to be colonizing and murdering the sheet out of everyone else, in which case that's one aspect of our culture we can leave behind.

I wouldn't worry.  Not that many Americans are racists.

I don't think it will amount to much if he even manages to get elected as Senator somehow. If he were to do something extreme such as calling for the repealing anti-lynching laws for instance, I highly doubt congress would even consider voting on it. I say let the man run, there's no reason for him not to. If he becomes senator he'll just come to the realization that things won't go his way even in the slightest, which actually discourage other racists from trying to run for congress.
