Darj
Relinquished DespairAttribute: DARKType: Spellcaster/Ritual/EffectLevel: 1ATK: 0DEF: 0You can Ritual Summon this card with "Despair Illusion Ritual". Once per turn, during either player's turn: You can target 1 monster on the field; equip that target to this card. This card's ATK and DEF become equal to that of the monster(s) equipped to it with the highest ATK. If this card would be destroyed (by battle or card effect) while equipped with a card(s), you can destroy 1 of those cards instead. If this card is destroyed by battle and sent to the Graveyard, or if this card in your possession is destroyed by an opponent's card effect: You can Special Summon 1 "Thousand-Eyes Restrict" from your Extra Deck or Graveyard. (This Special Summon is treated as a Fusion Summon.) [spoiler=Ritual Spell]Despair Illusion RitualSpell CardType: RitualThis card is used to Ritual Summon "Relinquished Despair". You must also Tribute monsters from your hand or field whose total Levels and/or Ranks equal 1 or more. If your opponent controls more Special Summoned monsters than you do, you can Tribute monsters from anywhere on the field instead. You can only use this effect of "Despair illusion Ritual" once per turn. During either player's turn: You can banish this card from your Graveyard, then target 1 face-up monster you control; equip it with 1 Level 4 or lower monster from your Deck or Extra Deck as an Equip Card. (If the card is an Union Monster and it was equipped to an appropriate monster, it is treated as if it was equipped appropriately). I want to give credit to Sleepy for these cards since the idea spawned from one of our conversations and we sort of brainstormed it afterwards.Anyway, this is Relinquished retrain intended to tackle on the meta, if not become part of a new meta. Its equipping effect has been updated to cover effect destruction and the ability of equipping more than 1 monster. The Quick-effect trait should make its impact on the board and game stronger. Finally, it floats into Thousand-Eyes Restrict for an extra punch, also for a hint of nostalgia. The Ritual Spell comes with an Stormforth-ish option of using an opponent's monster as Tribute for the Ritual Summon if he/she has more Special Summoned monsters than you, and its graveyard effect is cute for equipping and protecting "Relinquished Despair" in a pinch, and has additional applications such as equipping Arc Light to search a Ritual card afterwards, or be a pro and equip a "Buster Destruction Sword" monster and apply their lock effects, specially Dragon Buster which as Level 1 may blend well in a Level1 deck featuring this card. I want to point out that, in addition to the standard Ritual support (Manju, etc.) this also gets access to Pre-Preparation of Rites. Thoughts?
