Mutant Monster RAEG-HAPYP Posted July 9, 2016 Report Share Posted July 9, 2016 http://www.cnn.com/2016/07/09/us/dallas-police-acts-of-kindness/index.html It's not just Dallas either. If you scroll down on that link, you'll see other departments as well. Probably too many to list here. I know there's a ton of policing issues in the country, but it's nice to see some kind gestures for a change instead of people saying "f*** the Police". In any case, what do you think of this? How's your local department? Note that I'm okay with you mentioning an incident in your area or whatever, that's fine. Just please don't make that the main topic. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
~~~~ Posted July 9, 2016 Report Share Posted July 9, 2016 Also, I would greatly appreciate if you guys didn't derail this thread into a police brutality/violence topic, just saying. What do we talk about then? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Mutant Monster RAEG-HAPYP Posted July 9, 2016 Author Report Share Posted July 9, 2016 What do we talk about then?The fact that people are showing support in numbers? What else can the police do to improve community relations? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
ihop Posted July 9, 2016 Report Share Posted July 9, 2016 It's pretty tough to answer the question of what police should do to improve community relations without suggesting they stop killing and otherwise abusing people in custody. Condolences to the families of the officers who were shot, it's a gruesome incident, but that doesn't change the fact that the police is still a terrible organisation in need of some serious reform. Though, I get what you mean. A lot of this traces back to trigger happy/corrupt cops. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
