Dallas Officer Shootings.

You know, even with trigger happy cops running rampant, there is really no "justifying" going to a peaceful protest, and using it as cover to shoot 11 police officers.

I want change as much as everyone else, but we need to take a step back and realize this has gotten out of hand in the worst way possible. Now, we have more grieving families.

This is another instance of people retaliating against cops who actually do their job properly in response to the bad ones who already brought shame to the entire profession, including the one in Louisiana this week.

Yes, we get that faith in law enforcement is shot in light of multiple incidents that've occurred over the past few years, but people need to realize that not ALL police officers are going to shoot someone else because of their race or other circumstances.

There is no justification for shooting cops, especially ones who, again, actually do their job properly and serve/protect the community.

----

All I can really say at this point is condolences to the families of the officers who were killed trying to do their job, and best wishes for recovery for the ones who survived but are in the hospital.

One of the more interesting things I've seen in the wake of this is about a potential suspect and how the media ran with him as being the shooter despite there being no concrete evidence of it.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9JxkwVZnKwY

The guy in the photo on this video simply happened to be attending the march dressed in camo gear whilst armed with an AR-15. Obviously because this sort of thing looks suspicious when shots start being fired at the police, the image circulated through the media, and he was heralded as the number one suspect.

However in reality, the instant the shots started happening this man immediately went to the nearest officer and handed him his gun so there would be no confusion.

In fact there is footage of the gun being handed over. And yet despite this, his image kept circulating, and during the interview I posted despite talking to the mans brother and several witnesses who confirmed that the 'suspect' handed his gun in, kept running with the idea that he was the shooter with a wonderful question:

Guy: My brother gave his firearm to Law Enforcement. He is NOT THE SHOOTER

Reporter: The shooters were shooting from elevated positions, does your bother have any prior experience or training that would have given him the idea to shoot from elevated position.

guy: HE was ON THE GROUND WITH US.

The US media ladies and gentlemen.

There is also footage of one of the officers being gunned down, but that's probably a little too sensative to post in here.

Sounds about right.

Media jumping to conclusions again.

My two biggest problems:

The deaths of Alton Sterling and Philando Castle do not make light of the killing of innocent police officers.  The same is true in reverse.  But things are about to get a lot worse for people of color because of what happened in Dallas.

Really doesn't help that the killer kept saying all he wanted to do was kill some white people

That's because he was a racist. My people can be racist too. But the first thing we did was condemn this man's actions. He was wrong.

http://abcnews.go.com/US/witnesses-describe-dallas-protest-beautiful-evil/story?id=40434359

Protesters said there was a sense of solidarity and peace as they marched from Belo Garden Park to the Old Red Courthouse with law enforcement supervising the rally. Officers took photos with demonstrators and were supporting their cause.

“They were really comforting us and being there for us and supporting us in our march,” Sharay Santora, a former U.S. Marine who attended the protest rally with her two children, said on “Good Morning America” today.

And in addition, look what that page has/the Dallas Police Department tweeted: https://twitter.com/DallasPD/status/751222360867418112/photo/1

So, it seems DPD officers were actually supporting the march, and yet.....

Bumping this.

He was planning a lot more than to shoot cops. sheet like this will only lead to more innocent blacks being killed by police, which will further hostilities, and lead to more police being killed. It's a vicious cycle.
