Ryusei the Morning Star
Discard 1 card; Fusion Summon 1 Fusion Monster from your Extra Deck, using monsters from either side of the field as Fusion Materials. Cards and effects cannot be activated in response to this card's activation. So discussion of this card came up with the reveal of the new Tellarknight. I'm of the opinion that Super Poly is a more balanced, but stronger, version of Kaiju and "free" wipes like. With the advent of cards like Noden, Metalphosis, and Starve-Venom, Super Poly has become easier to use. And isn't locked to decks like shaddolls and heroes (It and Wavering Eyes are two of the most sided cards in OCG atm) But why is this happening? If we look at the game, extremely potent t1 boards are being made left and right 38-Siegfried-Cystal38-SpiritExterio-Kirin-Ultimaya ABC-CDIMultiple Beatrice Even with an extra card, it's very hard to break boards such as these. Super Poly through cards like Noden and Venom serves as an out to players going second against these odds. Now you might ask, how is it stronger, yet fairer than cards like kaiju and raigeki. I think it boils down to the fact that it takes investment in 3 places to work properly. The Main-deck, the hand, and the extra deck. It's also more conditional. Despite the generic nature of "1 monster with 2500 or less ATK" or "1 Synchro or Xyz Monster + 1 Synchro or Xyz Monster" or "2 non-Token DARK monsters on the field" It's still not as generic as your opponent just having monsters like Kaiju or Raigeki would entail. The fact that you need to 1) be able to discard (yes, sometime you don't have anything you want to discard and have to make painful choices) 2) and invest in both the ed/md makes me think this is a healthy solution to have in the game due to the direction the meta decks are going in. Super Poly is the best solution to the t1 lock imo Anyway, sorry for rambling, discuss.
Lonk
I honestly want this card to come back even @1. It's a fun card to use.
evilfusion
I want Super Poly back, too. Partially because I just love the card, and partially because Starve Venom.
~British Soul~
I also wouldn't mind seeing it return, just to see how much of an impact it'd make these days.
Βyakuya
It would definitely be a very nice card to have to return, especially to give an incentive to players to buy and play the upcoming Metalfoes in TCG. My only gripe with this card is the Spell Speed 4...the fact that nothing can react to it really bothers me to an extent, but it's not too annoying to most boss monsters.
