[spoiler=Frost Traps][spoiler=Frost Wall]Effect: Banish 2 "Frost" Spell or Trap cards from your Graveyard; While this card is face-up on the field, "Pengu" Monsters cannot be destroyed by card effects. During each end-phase, banish 1 "Frost" Spell or Trap card from your Graveyard, or destroy this card. [spoiler=Icy Frost Crevasse]Effect: When your opponent Summons an Effect Monster, and you control a Face-Up "Pengu" monster, negate the Summon and destroy the monster. [spoiler=Ring of Frost]Effect: When your opponents monster selects a WATER Spellcaster type monster you control as an attack target; Negate the attack and end the battle phase. While this card remains face-up on the field, negate the effects of your opponents monsters that were in ATK position when this card was activated. During your Endphase, Banish this card. Here they are, Pengu monsters. Water spellcaster type monsters that function by spamming and recycling their spell cards. Armed with deadly cuteness and the ability to freeze opponents, they freeze their opponents with their pure arcane might. The constant ability to recycle is gated by their low attack,s o to compensate they defend themselves with traps frm the hand or grave. Any time they need a spell, they wont have too hard a time finding it. Balancing keeping the spells in grave to recycle and banishing them for the traps will determine the outcome of the duel. CnC welcomes, reps for reviews, and I probably need some ocg fixes.
Dova
When this card is Normal Summoned, you can add 1 "Frost" Spell or Trap Card from your Deck to your hand. Once per turn, during either players turn: You can pay 1000 LP; activate 1 "Frost" Trap Card from your hand."Frost" only applies to that Monarch card, so you're good in terms of that generic name. Sorcerer's search is great, but since you only have 3 traps, and only 2 of them can be activated by this card, the second effect seems kind of lackluster. Best to specific what kind of trap card, or say "meets activation conditions". Would be nice to see expansion though. When this card is Normal Summoned: You can send 1 "Frost" Spell Card from your Deck to the Graveyard; activate its effects.Good idea, but first off, activating the effects of a field spell card or continuous spell card are kinda iffy, as...what is their effect? Second off, Frost Dragon Ritual and Frost Storm. This card skips over activation requirements and costs, making them a little too powerful. When this card is Normal Summoned: Add 1 "Frost" Spell Card from your Graveyard to your hand. Once per turn, during either players turn: You can banish 1 "Frost" card in your Graveyard; activate its effects.Again, activation conditions and requirements. These kind of effects are fun but difficult to pull off, as what if I banished a card like Vanity's Fiend from my Graveyard? What is its effects? First effect is fine though. Wish they had more ways of returning banished cards to the Graveyard though. I also don't know how I feel about all these on Normal Summon effects; You can't Normal Summon all of them. Perhaps a just plain Summon on one of them?Once per turn: You can banish 2 "Frost" Spell or Trap Cards from your graveyard; Special Summon 1 "Pengu" monster from your hand or Graveyard. You can only use the effect of "Pengu Creator" once per turn. You don't need the Once per Turn at the begging if you restrict it at the end, unless you want a "During either player's turn." Something I've noticed is that you alternate with your grammar, seeming to capitalize some words randomly and place colons and semicolons at different places every time. Try to stick to something. Even if its wrong, it will still look consistent. This card is fine, but I wish more cards Special Summoned in the deck. The OPT is well placed. You can discard this card; send Return up to 3 of your banished "Frost" Spell or Trap cards to your Graveyard. At last, a way to return those banished Spell/Traps. I am extremely tempted to say that it needs OPT, but so far, the deck doesn't spam the banishing. In fact, this deck is very slow, as it is very reliant on Normal Summons and doesn't do much when it comes to Special Summoning. You can Special Summon this card from your hand if you activate a "Frost" Spell or Trap card. When you activate a "Frost" Spell or Trap Card: Special Summon this card (from your hand).I really don't like the without effect summoning grammar. So far, afaik nothing in the game does something like that without activating, so we'll leave that like that for now, but if you really want to keep it, I'll see how I can write it, and how it would work. You should actually redo the card's effect in general, as activating effects is not the same as activating cards, and this deck mostly activates effects from the Graveyard. When this card is Summoned: Shuffle up to 3 Banished "Frost" cards from your Banished Pile among your banished cards into your Deck. When this card is sent to the Graveyard: You can add 1 "Pengu" monster from your Deck to your hand.At last, one that works on Summon! Normally shuffling into your deck is mediocre, but as this deck mills a lot, that is helpful. The only reason that neither effect needs OPT is how slow the rest of the cards are (generally). This archetype needs more cards like this, as both effects are extremely useful!1 Tuner + 1 or more non-Tuner WATER monstersWhen this card is Synchro Summoned: Add 1 "Pengu" or "Frost" card from your Deck to your hand. Once per turn: You can send 1 "Frost" Spell or Trap Card or "Pengu" monster from your Deck to the Graveyard; destroy 1 card on the field.Unsure why you suddenly used Spell/Trap Cards, but anyway, I think the destruction effect should target, as the only monster you're going to be sending is the previous one, as it is the only one with the Graveyard effect. Something these cards need is a narrower range of effects, as you seem to have changed your mind with what they do halfway through. This card needs OPT on the second effect, but the first effect is probably fine, due to the lack of other speed in this archetype. Something to note is I fail to see freezing. The milling S/T is a great idea, I grant you, but with only 7 cards left, I don't think freezing describes this archetype very well, even if the rest all do do it.You can only activate this card If you control 4 or more face-up "Pengu" monsters: Destroy all cards on your opponents side of the field. You cannot declare Special Summon the turn you activate this effect.Heh, someone changed from declare attack to Special Summon limitation in the last minute :3 Its a great idea, but the main problem is activating cards effects skip over condition and costs. A great idea for these cards would've been to make the Spell/Traps very generic with high costs, and the monsters being able to bypass them with their effects. Well, they currently work, and this card's main effect isn't broken. At least the SS restriction is carried over no matter how you activate it.Add 1 "Pengu" monster from your Deck to your hand.Eh...simple. Probably needs HOPT, but other than that, fine. You can only activate this spell If you control a face-up "Pengu" monster: Destroy 1 card on the field for every "Pengu" monster you control. During the End Phase, each player can draw 1 card for every card they controlled that was destroyed by this effect.Unsure what the last effect is there for, as it is not useful for you to pop your own, and it makes the card not useful to pop your opponent. That Monarch did it much better, being more generic and working with this archetype. Also, regarding card grammar, this card is so different to the similar frost dragon that I wonder if you just make up some grammar as you go along. Not a jab, just saying that having a standard is good. When this card is activated: Return all banished "Frost" Spells Cards to your Graveyard. Once per turn, if you control a face-up WATER Spellcaster-type monster: You can shuffle add 1 of your banished "Frost" cards to your hand.Again, looks like you changed your mind halfway through with the second effect. Really, seems like a good card, not much else to say, other than it doesn't work with the milling idea.Banish 2 "Frost" Spell or Trap cards from your Graveyard to activate this card. While this card is face-up on the field, "Pengu" Monsters cannot be destroyed by card effects. During each of your End Phases: Banish 1 "Frost" Spell or Trap card from your Graveyard or destroy this card. The protection is weak, and the cost makes it weaker. Perhaps buff it to also include protection from battle? Good idea, anyway. When your opponent Summons an Effect Monster while you control a face-up "Pengu" monster(s): Negate the Summon and destroy that Summoned monster.Being a little specific always helps. Again, nothing much to say here, just your standard counter trap. A little boring if you ask me, though. When your opponents monster selects a WATER Spellcaster type monster you control as an attack target: Negate that attack and end the Battle Phase. While this card remains face-up on the field, negate the effects of your opponents monsters that were in Attack Position when this card was activated. During your End Phase: Banish this card.Explain to me how this works. The image doesn't show a card type, and I don't know whether you can activated it whenever or only if a monster is attacked. All in all, rather slow, but I am loving the concept. Some of the cards try a bit too hard to cover all bases, and focusing might allow the archetype to have more speed and power.
