Emmy's lost a little weight since leaving Zendikar, but she's become a little more streamlined in the process. Swapped those tree branch arms for bendier tentacles, for instance.

With Emmy touching Innistrad with her noodly appendages, and Avacyn having been unmade since her madness, what will it take for Sorin and Nahiri to deal with the Titan?

Goddammit Wizards. You had this big ball of suspense in the background you could have milked for YEARS and you plonk it down on the table right after you start tantalizing us with it.

Regardless, card is absurdly dangerous and I'm seeing a lot of people underestimate it online. Even if you just have them tap out and do nothing that can be HUGELY detrimental by the point this card hits the board. Especially given its a 13/13 with flying and trample, it'll probs kill them in one shot on their next turn. The fact that it has protection from instants means its SO easy to just use the turn you control your opponent on to waste all their non-instant removal and you're golden.

Trap it in the moon. I'm like 90% that is Nahiri's plan for what to do once she gets Ema on Innistrad. Remember she is red AND white. She has a plan past screw Sorin over.

Anyway, card is sweet. I like the Protection from Instants bit since it keeps your opponent from dealing with her during the small window they are sane. Also like how her gaining control of them is her making them insane. Also triple 13. #neverlucky

Just going to leave these 2 angels here.

except, everyone knew it was gonna be Emrakul. and really, all they could have done was have it be a mystery at the end of the set, and then Jace would have to wander around the multiverse looking for Em. and each place he visited where Em actually was would be essentially the same story line as Innstrad. Eventually it would get dull, and everyone would still know that cause of all the weirdness on each plane he visited was Em, only they would continue to leave it a big question mark about what it was, because they were milking out the reveal of Em, and everyone would get board of the story. And then when they did reveal Em, everyone would heave out a big sigh of "F***ing finally wizards". If anyone really cared at that point.

This is actually a real issue with not fully dealing with We'mrakul right now. We know what she does to a plane so if she does show up elsewhere we would likely see similar things. You just can't do that that many times. That being said I find it really weird we saw NONE of this on Zendikar despite her being trapped there for 6000 years and running around on it for a least a little while.

Honestly, I think what they did with Me'mrakul is FAR more interesting than either of the other two. She is literally warping EVERYTHING in the world and her impact just resonates a million times stronger than Ula and Cosi. This effect also feels PERFECTLY at home on Innistrad so I do believe it should have happened like it has. Its just personally I think they should have started this story a little later. Maybe 12/18 months after BFZ just to have the mystery of where Ema went hang for a little.

collector number is 006

so, uh,

sucks if you were all colourless-ed out from zendikar

cos we be getting more

This is the other issue with doing Me'mrakul so soon after Zendikar, it just gives us more Eldrazi and a decent amount of players do want a break from them. That being said this is also one of the better times to do them since it lets the two blocks play better together.

i don't imagine nahiri wants to do anything about it since she called emmy over to fuck sorin's plane up, probably got right the hell outta there

this card is nutso. a very dedicated delirium strategy could probably knock her out turn five with ramp.

Oh, also, I'm glad that Liliana's the hero figure this set. The shot of all the zombies charging Emrakul in the trailer is pretty sweet. Let Innistrad's natural darkness deal with tentacly doods.

I actually REALLY like that between Lili, Arlinn, and Olivia all the major monster races have a champion leading them in the fight vs. One'merkul.

As Mark as said a bunch on his blog, if that was the case she would have been mono-red. Driven purely on her need for revenge. She isn't though, she is also white, meaning she likely has some sort of bigger plan for dealing with Be'merkul. As I said before, I think she wants to trap it in the moon.

Also, just thinking through what Ema bring here would mean. Devoid and Spawn/Scion incoming.

i just reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeally hope this doesn't end the same way Oath did: with the good guys winning through pure, unadulterated bs. hell, i'm sure people wouldn't entirely mind if Em won, or was they just got her off the plane and then Wizards shelved Eldrazi for a bit.

edit: I really want this art as a wallpaper. <3

I hope this is what happens. The Eldrazi are too cool to wrap up this fast. But like I said, they can only do I'amrakel influencing a world so many times.

I get the feeling Nahri wants to trap Emrakul in the moon and let her affect Innistrad through it just as Zenndikar was affected by the Eldrazi being sealed within it. So Vengence and good things all at once.

I'm on moon plan being the most obvious path wizards can take to deal with her. Curious if the madness will stop if they get her in there since, again as said, we did not have this stuff happening on Zendikar.

i said that, too, but still.... i mean i guess them beating her would be fine..... as long as the reason they beat her isn't complete bs. or nahiri could lock her in the moon. if she can even do that.

I should really pay more attention to who is saying what. My bad.

The reason the won out on Zendikar was largely because of Nissa's tie to the plan. They don't have that here so I'm not sure if they'll be able to do the "pull them in trick" again this time.

We didn't have the obvious madness on Zenndikar when she was sealed, but it was confirmed (or at least inferred) that the Eldrazi did affect Zenndikar whilst sealed. So I could understand an argument that the madness would perpetuate in a form because a lot of Innistrad draws power from the moon.

I just hope Tamiyo doesn't kick the bucket or anything. Or get converted.

This is true. We just need to see I guess.

Yes, that. So much that. I've loved everything about Tamiyo that we've seen. I don't want bad things to happen to her. We've already love Avacyn, Gisela, and Bruna. I don't want to lose Tamiyo too.

In other news, don't think this is worth its own thread and is fitting here

Coax is neato. For all of y'all who aren't familiar with wishes: "from outside the game" means "from your sideboard" in sanctioned play. Can't just dig into your collection if it isn't a casual game. Will definitely be good as a silver bullet in EDH (although I assume if you're playing with wishes, you play with a 10-card side/wishboard).
