VCR_CAT
It seems cute in LS. Omega and Raiden make Sifr. Though having omega out in their BP is telegraphing to hell and back. Maybe Michael and Minerva for Crystal? Wait holy s*** LS can summon crystal wing even without this that's dope AF But why Sifr when you can Calamity? I'm not gonna drop this; people need to know how nasty this Synchro-Azzathoth combo is.

The thing is, King Calamity only prevents your opponent's effects for the rest of the turn, and you're using this card in their Battle Phase. Sure that locks out them making any more plays or just Raigeki'ing what you summon, but so does Sifr (pretty much) and it's effects will continue to help you on further turns. From then on, King Calamity is just a beatstick with a potential float effect.

Sifr doesn't guarantee protection against what the opponent's field may or may not be, and locking a person out of their turn in its entirety is much better than potentially locking them out of the rest of their turn. It may be for only that turn, but this is YGO. You're summoning a big boss on the cheap; it's not like the game's to go on much longer, and forcing a guaranteed pass with Calamity is better than a potential pass with Sifr. I suppose it's a matter of what you're up against mostly- combo heavy decks that might be able to push through Sifr's protection and negation would hate having Calamity pulled out on them, whereas against slower decks Sifr would probably be enough to cancel their turn and the disruption it gives you is very valuable. Ryusei the Morning Star
Quasar summoned this way won't get extra attacks. Sifr is the much better monster to summon off this.Majestic Star Dragon feels forgotten I kinda wanna tech this in shaddolls, attack a clearwing, end up getting trished
VCR_CAT
Majestic Star Dragon feels forgotten I kinda wanna tech this in shaddolls, attack a clearwing, end up getting trished Oh I never forgot. It's a pretty nasty option for a synch 10 to go into.

VCR_CAT
Then they just pass and it goes back to the ED. Which is why I'm a bit of a bigger fan of Stardust Warrior. The summon-negation effect is really solid and the float is great; for level 10 is a great boost. Also, all this talk makes me want to get back into Synchrons, but I'll wait and see if INOV has anything else for synchros before I revisit that build. goodfusion
Powered Inzektron could be a pretty interesting stallig option with this if you run low-Level Synchros (although Formula Synchron is probably better for that).
The Nyx Avatar
(1) When an opponent’s monster declares an attack on a Synchro Monster you control: Negate that attack. Then, you can activate the following effect.● Banish that Synchro Monster you control and 1 Tuner from your Graveyard, then Special Summon from your Extra Deck, a Synchro Monster whose Level is equal to the combined total of the Levels of the banished monsters. https://ygorganization.com/inov-kings-synchro/Wasn't there already a card with a similar effect? 玄魔の王
So... you can use this with the Cryston boss... This was intentional.

Because Summoning this card with the intended materials is just not worth the effort.
Neutrality Man
Wasn't there already a card with a similar effect? Yes, but this one traded the multiple non-Tuners for the ability to Summon Quasar, Sifr, King Calamity, the Majestic twins, Tyrant, and Beelzeus. The way I see it... you're supposed to: Harmony of King's Soul -> Synchro Monster Level 8 Opponent attacks that. King's Synchro -> L2/4 Tuner + L8 Synchro = L12 Game winner
