WARFRAME is a co-operative, free-to-play, sci-fi shooter game developed by Digital Extremes, and is published primarily on PC. It is also available for distribution on Steam, Raptr and PlayStation for both free and plus users and Xbox One for Xbox Live Gold members.

Warframe is set in a distant future where the solar system is torn between the Grineer, an empire race of militarized clones; the Corpus, a mega-corporation merchant cult with advanced robotics and laser technology; and the Infested, the victims fallen under the scourge of Technocyte Virus. The player takes the role of a Tenno, a member of a fourth faction with a mysterious and unclear nature, and is guided by an entity called the Lotus through missions.

The players are always pitted against enemies in superior numbers. To this end, players have at their disposal a varied arsenal of weapons both archaic and modern, and most notably, a special suit of armor--the titular Warframe, each of which has a particular set of abilities. Despite being primarily a shooter game, the gameplay has a definite focus on the synchronization of players' arsenal, allowing for limitless possibilities of creativity in combat. -The Wiki

I never liked first-person shooters (first-person anything really), I was always a turn-based RPG kind of guy, but I've decided to try Warframe and I'm enjoying it. I still suck and have no idea what I'm doing, but that's what friends and communities are for, failing together. So who else plays this pretty enjoyable Free2Play game?

This game has consumed my existence for nearly two years now.

I tend to play it on and off for months at a time to avoid burnout.

And warframes grind isn't THAT bad. You could go to the void for like an hour, and potential get like 20-30 plat worth of prime parts to trade if you really need them. It's all about managing the grind in a way that doesn't feel grindy.

Yeah, according to steam, I only have about 12 hours in and for me it's a real learning experience since I don't play shooters, but I do have fun.

However some quests do get a little long and lengthy if A) You don't know how to finish it, and B) You're doing it alone. There's been a couple times where if one person in the group leaves, another does, and so on; leaving me to struggle or fail by myself. All my other friends play on console so it's just me.

ew.  console plebs.

Yeah Warframe is one of those games were you just have to get a groove going.  Join a clan, make weapons, make more weapons, get your mastery up, and keep it going.  It's a grind, but it's the same reason I log like 500 hours into each new Monster Hunter: cuz the grind is fun.

Once you start to get the "meta" mods and optimizing your builds, you can do some truly crazy shenanigans.  The first few months are the hardest
