This is gonna be a shock, but Cryo is a girl.

Well, I misintepret it.., but Cryo would be my second or third favorite, since it is cute, menacing, and has a wide array of attacks.

My second would probably be, Battalion, since his design is awesome, there's a gattling gun, a bazooka launcher, and a gun stand, and has a strong fighting spirit...

I will say I'm not a fan of all the insta-death spikes in the slippery ice level, but there's usually at least 1 unfair level like that per Mega Man game so I'm used to it. And yeah, the graphics could stand to be a bit better given how much money went into it, but at least it's got a good style and I like the aesthetic. Those are really my only main complaints, the game's still fun, which is always my top priority.

You should add Ray to the poll, as well. I'd vote for her.

Dunno about a second MN9, but I'm excited for Red Ash.

One thing I really like about this game is that, not only do the Mighty Numbers tell you what level their ability is strong against, if you've beaten them they'll actually have dialogue in and affect said level.

This is a thread to talk about ideas of what we, the players, want in a possible sequel to Mighty No 9.

Mine is as follows:

  • Utilization of Charge Shot
  • An Easy Mode
  • Have Ray serve as a puppet boss.
  • Have Trinity be a playable character and have her use the same abilities as Beck.

Here's the premise:

Six months have passed since the Trinity incident and much has changed. Beck, known as Mighty No. 9, and the rest of his friends, have won various robot gladiator competitions. Trinity, now functioning properly, goes out to cheer for her savior.

One day, during a news broadcast...

This just in, a challenge has been issued by Gregory Graham to William White:

Graham: My fellow citizens, I would like to introduce you to the Graham Gladiators:

  • Mighty Number 10: Heatrix
  • Mighty Number 11: Flora
  • Mighty Number 12: Aquanut
  • Mighty Number 13: Shocker
  • Mighty Number 14: Windslice
  • Mighty Number 15: Angelica
  • Mighty Number 16: Diablo
  • and Mighty Number 17: Rocksmash.

Their new team captain will be revealed in time. So, William White, will you accept my challenge and have your Mighty Numbers go up against Mine?

White: Quite the lineup. Beck are you sure you're up for this?

Beck: I am.

Meanwhile in a dark room in Cherrydine main laboratories

Graham: I know Beck was able to beat you easily, but consider this an opportunity to get back at him. In exchange, you get this: The Cherrydine perpetual Xel device. With this, you'll never go hungry again, as this device generates Xels faster than you can consume them. Defeat Beck and it's yours. We'll also throw in a few replacement parts for your warn out ones, deal?

A familiar hand reaches out and shakes on the deal. The hand, or claw, belongs to Raychel.

And so, a new adventure begins for Beck.

What do you think?

Huh. Realistically meh enough that Inafune would do it.

We can only hope that the stage design and final boss are of the fair difficulty.

One more add on,

[spoiler ending]

Raychel is installed with the real Perpetual Xel Generator so she no longer has to feed on other robots, Graham is arrested and Blackwill is given a full pardon. Raychel and her team face off against Beck and his team, as friendly rivals.

Well, an interesting concept to add is the ability to play as the defeated robot masters (AKA Mighties), compared to weapon change system....

When Beck defeats for example, Windslice (cool name), it allows the player to play as Windslice, utilizing his abilities...

Other various concepts:

  • Museum: Views enemies defeated in the game, Robot Master, Concept arts, Cutscenes, these can be accesed via shop or by collecting special collectibles....
  • Extra Rivals/Masters, like Bit and Byte in Megaman X3, or Vile, an additional stage that occurs after defeating a certain amount of robot masters can be added to spice things up....
  • Challenge Mode, simple, like in MM10, features various different challenges that trains the flexibility

Robot Masters Ideas:

Mighty No.10: Microblast, a robot specialized in cooking and magnetron (Fire Element)

Mighty No.11: Sweepstreet, a mop shaped robot which specialize in cleaning (Water)

Mighty No.12: Calculaterra, an accounting and algorithm robot that harness the power of electricity and math (Electric)

Mighty No.13: Seimologue, a robot designed to analyze earthquakes and simulate them (Earth)

Mighty No.14: Vaccuumus, home-cleaning counterpart of Sweepstreet, this robot has the ability to blow and sucks debris (Wind)

Mighty No.15: Lawnatic, grass-cutting equipment designed to trim ferns effectively and mow through (Nature/Grass)

Mighty No.16: Cameron, flashy flair and photography robot that shines in the midst of darkness (Light)

Mighty No.17: Magicalia, Robot created to study strange phenomenons and dark magic (Darkness)

Oh yeah, Museum would be nice, Though Playing as beck with copied abilities and both sets of mighties would be nice.

Astro Dude, as a potential sequel to Mighty No. 9 has not been formally announced, I have merged your discussion on what could go into such a sequel in with this thread, as having two threads for a similar subject seems too repetitive for the forum. I have no problem with having both discussions, but they don't need to be spread across multiple threads.

So anyone here playing the game who didn't back it on Kickstarter? I'm curious.

Ray is super fun to play as, her dash doing damage and absorbing Xels automatically upon killing enemies with her melee attacks is useful, while the constant health drain (which will never kill you, only reduce you to 1 health) makes speed a priority and adds a neat challenge.
