mitchermitcher
It adds no actual strategic value to the deckbuilding aspect of the game, since there's no reason not to run it. But in an actual duel, it provides some luck to who draws it first. Makes the game a bit more luck reliant, for good or for worse. Once you treat it less like a card and more like a natural rule of the game I think it's pretty interesting.
Kaiji
I didn't call anyone stupid for talking about or making this topic. I said talking in caps, (and now I might add the overuse of profanity and ad hom), makes the person doing so look poor. That's really it I'm not generalizing. There's 3 words, there's not really any "combos" you can do with it. Wrong actually, you have Left Arm Offering to search it which didn't exist in 2005. There's no guarantee that you will draw LAO alongside 2 awful draws (in this context it can usually mean 2 normal summons) so that PoG's draw 2 is immediately better but it's something. The Nyx Avatar
Essentially, in the format when this was released in, it was fine as such Deck thinning and consistency was needed for Decks that generally had little to none (at least by comparison) wereas now there are Decks that already have good consistency or capabilities of Deck thinning, and using this would just be overkill. ~~~~
It was a discussion on what would happen if it did. What if tomorrow Konami decided to experiment like they did with Snatch Steal and put it to 1? Once everyone got beyond the initial shock, would it really be as bad as everyone thinks; is it's ban purely because of its horrid design? Or something else?Ok, let's play this game. Between me and my brother we only own 1 copy of PoG, so it would start some quarrels between us as to who would get to use the card.Metagame-wise, Superheavy Samurais drop down even further. Enlightenment Paladin and Nirvana High Paladin get stronger. Maybe banish decks such as Shiranui start running Left Arm Offering to generate banished cards because PoG can mitigate some of that minus. That's all I can think of atm. Progenitor
Dark Magician of Chaos.Indeed. This, Enlightenment Paladin, and Nirvanna were major red flags as I thought about this. While Paladin is somewhat situational, and Nirvanna barely sees much play, DMoC is extremely common. Granted adding at the End Phase is still pretty slow, but adding Pot at the end phase makes up for the slowness in spades.
♪ ♪Aria ♪ ♪
This card accelerates all decks, especially fast paced ones with multiple monsters that can SS itself quickly......Regardless of that, it should remain banned, since it tends to troll down any deck......Using this can accelerate summoning the so called "Machina Force"..............
