ENMaker
Because despite the fact the tournament starts in 5 days this absolute shambles of a forum doesn't have a thread for it yet smh. http://www.uefa.com/uefaeuro/ I feel like I should have something to fill this space with. I'm happy enough we (Ireland) qualified that as long as we don't get absolutely funked in all 3 games (a distinct possibility) I'll be able enjoy it. If we could get some kind of result against Sweden then who knows. Hopefully there's at least someone else here who cares but the absence of a thread this close to the time does not encourage me. Get hype. I'll get an image of the group tables to go here at some stage. For now this will do since obviously not been any games played.
~British Soul~
It's a European football/soccer tournament. Having said that, I think England has a good shot at making the knockout stages. We were unbeaten in qualification, but I also feel that is irrelevant given who we have in the group stage.
Aerion Brightflame
Oh hey Wales and England are in the same group. That already makes the event much more exciting because we get the real grudge match of Europe for certain. Kappanokappa. In short - Let's go Wales! Zauls
Ireland are in the hardest group and tbh I can't see you getting out of the group stage. To be honest, I half hope that England do crash and burn just so that we can finally sack Woy. He is a complete tactical imbecile and if we do well, it will be despite Woy's squad selection and tactics, not because of them. Though to be honest I'm expecting there will be some kind of pretty big upset. Wales in particular could exceed expectations.
ENMaker
Bump because less than a day to go. Well there's 15 minutes until the first day so really the hype is on. Didn't realise that we were going for a funking last 16 of 24 teams, we could sneak a decent 3rd in our group and who knows.
Christian Exodia
All I can say is: Go USA! In all seriousness though, I just want to see Wales go a decent way through just because why not.
ENMaker
So this is happening - http://www.bbc.com/sport/football/36528403 Intend to make a post relating to the games that have been played thus far at some stage but this is fairly significant. Can't think of a team ever being disqualified from a major tournament because their fans were such bastards. The thing that sticks out to me from it though, is this line - "The suspended disqualification and fine relate only to incidents that happened inside the stadium.". Basically saying they don't give a funk once it's not happening at the games which is the completely wrong message to be sending given the shite that's gone on. I mean yes I can understand the reasoning but it's fairly bollocks still because hooliganism on the streets is going to pose more of a danger, realistically, than it is inside a stadium amongst your own people and a heavy security presence, and essentially giving the go-ahead to that is retarded. ~British Soul~
What sticks out like a sore thumb to me about the issue is this; "I don't see anything wrong with the fans fighting, Quite the opposite, well done lads, keep it up!" - written by Igor Lebedev (a top football official in Moscow and deputy chair of the Russian Parliament) on twitter
