When Sun Dragon Inti is destroyed by monster that has 3000 atk' date=' and both monsters are destroyed, do Sun Dragon's effect activates?

[/quote']

Its first effect will activate since its mandatory, but it will do nothing since the monster that destroyed it is already destroyed and in the Graveyard.

Its second effect will still activate successfully though.

Thanks for your answers. I got 2 more questions:

1. If I Special Summon "Gladiator Beast Laquari" with the effect of "Gladiator Beast Darius", does it still return to the Deck if it battles, even if his effect was negated by Darius? I was told it does because the effect of returning to the Deck is a condition, but I say that is still an effect, which is negated by Darius.

2. Is the first effect of "Ancient Gear Engineer" active while is in the Graveyard, so I cannot Special Summon it with "Call of the Haunted"?

1) You have to look at each part of this. Remember, Effects are negated, not conditions or costs.

a) "If this card attacked or was attacked" is the condition. This has to happen for you to activate effects.

b) "you can return it from the field to the Deck at the end of the Battle Phase to" is the cost. Note that it says you CAN return. You do not have to.

c) "Special Summon 1 "Gladiator Beast" monster from your Deck, except "Gladiator Beast Laquari"." This is the effect. This is what gets negated by Darius.

As you can see, If your Laquari attacks, and you choose to return it to the deck, the effect of "Special Summoning 1 'Gladiator Beast' monster" will be negated by Darius. Also, remember that you CAN return a GB monster to the deck to use that effect, it is not mandatory.

2) It should only apply when the monster is face-up on the field, therefore, you should be able to use "Call of the Haunted" on it.

Actually, now that i think about it, Call of the Haunted still targets the monster it revives, so when Ancient Gear Engineer is finally Summoned, it is still targeted by Call of the Haunted... though in that case Ancient Gear Engineer might then negate Call of the Haunted then destroy it. Though in that case, Ancient Gear Engineer would still be on the field, since it negated "Call of the Haunted" before removing it from the field...

Anyone want to clarify? Maybe i'll try it in one of the DS/PSP games and see what it thinks...

i think i know the answer to this question' date=' but i need to ask. does swallow flip destroy tragoedia? i don't think so. And what are the most significant monsters swallow flip can destroy besides gorz?

[/quote']

No.

Swallow Flip kills a good amount of GBs, as well as any monster with a non-ignition effect which has its effect activate when there's a summon. This means it can kill Wanghu and Cyber Dinosaur (but nobody uses them anyways).

thanks for your answer. it's good to know it's effect against GB's(even though no one uses them anymore)

You're bound to run into the odd person here and there that's trying to make them work again...

Alright I was wondering if you could use

dr0h4.jpg

to reverse the LP pay target of your Psychic monster to your opponent?

Meaning if you use Master Gig's effect could you use Barrel Behind the Door to deal your opponent 1000 points of damage instead of you paying 1000 LP?

You're not taking damage - you're paying life points. So no.

Um...yea...

You can Stardust a Solemn and vice versa?

You cannot use Stardust Dragon to negate Solemn Judgment. The former is Spell Speed 2; the latter, Spell Speed 3.

You can use Solemn Judgment to negate the Synchro Summon of a Stardust Dragon. However, you cannot use Solemn Judgment to negate the effect of Stardust Dragon that Special Summons itself, as it is not a Summon effect.
