Silent Magician LV8 vs cards like Kisetai (or blast Sphere)?

Hey' date=' I've got a question.. Silent Magician LV8 is unaffected by opponent's Spell Cards. What if I've attacked with it a Kisetai, that becomes an Equip Spell Card? Is it affected by it?

[/quote']

I believe it says that it becomes an "Equip Card" and not an "Equip Spell Card". An Equip Card is not necessarily an Equip Spell Card.

Except that Union Monsters have similar wording and have been ruled to be treated as Equip Spells.

Equip Cards -are- necessarily Equip Spell Cards to my knowledge as shown by the Union example.

Sorry, it seems you are right. I spoke from my memories what I have read, but it seems it states that you are correct. orz

An "Equip Card" is any card that is equipped to a face-up monster on the field. Spell Cards with the Equip Icon are the most common type of Equip Card' date=' and are officially called Equip Spell Cards. [...'] Other cards may become Equip Cards through card effects, like with "Sword Hunter" or Union Monsters. Whenever a Monster Card becomes an Equip Card, it is treated as an Equip Spell Card, and is no longer considered a Monster Card.

Note that this means Trap Cards that become Equip Cards' date=' such as Metalmorph, are not Spells.

Are they treated as "Equip Cards" or as "equipped to the monster" or something similar? I think that might be where the difference lies. Not sure if it's all the same, though.

If Equip Cards are simply defined as "any card that is equipped to a face-up monster on the field", then they are Equip Cards. I can't think of any card that uses "Equip Card" as a keyword where it would be relevant to cards like Metalmorph, though.

Considering that I think that "Equip Card" is actually a Konami-ism for "Equip Spell Card", I assume that things like Power Tool Dragon would be relevant. Or at least Ben Kei, which does use the exact words, "Equip Cards".

EDIT: Cancel that. There's a difference between the two. All monsters that are Equip Cards are Equip Spell Cards, but the same is not true for Traps, so a Trap equipped to Power Tool (which works with "Equip Spell Cards) would not allow it to negate destruction, but would provide an extra attack for Ben Kei (which works with "Equip Cards") while a monster would work on either card.

[spoiler=Chaoswings?]

Chaos Sorcerer + Blackwings

Could a deck like that work?

What Lights would you intend on using?

TKRO' date=' DA, Ryko ...

^This =) So the deck would work? And be a good competitive deck?

EDIT: Also, is there any specific reason why Hidden Arsenal has no Rares or Commons?
