1) What's the purpose of a mat?

2) Where can I get a cheap one' date=' other than eBay?

3) Where and how can I get custom ones made?

I didn't know where else to ask this =/

The purpose of playmats is to show off a level of completion (IE topping a regional/ making it to National) and/or simply protecting your card sleeves from conditions that would force you buy new ones.

Your local should sell one, many now sell blank playmats for as little as $10.

http://www.erolj.com/index.php?cPath=114 is one of the more famous places (also one of the most expensive.)

After reading the text of Great Dezard and Fushioh Richie' date=' I noticed that apparently there are 2 ways of summoning Richie. 1- Activate Great Dezard and tribute it to summon Richie (Like using Skilled Dark Magician) or Special Summon Richie by it's own summoning condition by tributing Dezard (Like Red-Eyes Darkness Dragon). Am I right?

[/quote']

This card can only be Special Summoned from your hand or your Deck by Tributing 1 "Great Dezard" that has fulfilled the condition as a Tribute.

fushio richie can not bring himself out.

This card cannot be Special Summoned except with the effect of "Summon Reactor・SK".

This card can only be Special Summoned from the Deck by Tributing "Red-Eyes B. Dragon" equipped with "Metalmorph".

The text of Richie is similar to the second one. So, if I have a GD that destroyed 2 monsters, I can select 1 Richie from my hand and Special Summon it using GD as a tribute, without activating the effect of GD.

If I discard Dasher for Destiny Draw and I draw Jinzo from the effect of Destiny Draw' date=' I can Special Summon the Jinzo, correct?

[/quote']

Wat?!?!?

Once per turn, by Tributing 1 monster, this card gains 1000 ATK until the end of this turn. If this card attacks, it is changed to Defense Position at the end of the Battle Phase. While this card is in the Graveyard, one time only, when you draw a Monster Card during your Draw Phase you can show it to your opponent and Special Summon it.

Hell no.

FR can has no effect that special summons itself like REMD. Its just states that it can not be summoned outside of GD's second effect. GD is the only effect that can Special summon FR. This is one card in need of an errata. Because "that has fulfilled the condition as a Tribute." is questionable. Condition=effect? Fulfilled=Successful? Im just telling you how any Judge would rule it. Im going to Regional on the 8th and Jump in ohio on the 14th. I can confirm with a head judge if you want. But im confident in my ruling.

Strategy section

Was this a rule? If so' date=' where can I read it. Not that I doubt you; I just think reading the rules is important.

Icyblue started moving them all during the big article rush. I'm fairly sure that mine's the only recent one left in this section.

Lets just say I control a face-up Elemental Hero, and my opponent plays Lightsworns. When my opponent Special Summons Judgement Dragon, can I activate Super Polymerization to summon The Shining, or will priority destroy my field before I could activate it? What would happen in this situation

They can call priority with Judgment Dragon's effect, so it'd become Chain Link 1. Super Polymerization would therefore be Chain Link 2 and resolve first and you'd be able to Special Summon The Shining, but Judgment Dragon's effect would resolve afterwards, nuking the field and killing Shining, which would then Trigger The Shining's effect of letting you get 2 removed Heroes to your hand.

Mezuki doesn't work in the same way Vayu does with Oppression right?

No. Vayu uses the word "and", indicating that removing and the pseudo-Synchro Summon are both part of Vayu's effect. So Oppression negates Vayu's entire effect, preventing it from being removed.

Mezuki uses "to", indicating a cost. When Oppression negates its effect, you still have to have removed it as the cost, as it isn't part of its effect so Oppression wouldn't negate it.
