Bringerofcake Posted October 21, 2009 Report Share Posted October 21, 2009 After reading the text of Great Dezard and Fushioh Richie' date=' I noticed that apparently there are 2 ways of summoning Richie. 1- Activate Great Dezard and tribute it to summon Richie (Like using Skilled Dark Magician) or Special Summon Richie by it's own summoning condition by tributing Dezard (Like Red-Eyes Darkness Dragon). Am I right?[/quote'] This card can only be Special Summoned from your hand or your Deck by Tributing 1 "Great Dezard" that has fulfilled the condition as a Tribute. fushio richie can not bring himself out. My opponent controls Timeater and Dark Scorpion - Meanae the Thorn. I have a face-down Scapegoat, Puppet King and Destiny Hero - Plasma in my hand and a Vennominon the King of Poisonous Snakes on the field. Since I'm not using a Reptile Deck, I don't have any Reptiles in my Graveyard and Vennominon the King of Poisonous Snakes has 0 ATK. In the Battle Phase, my opponent uses Timeater to destroy Vennominon the King of Poisonous Snakes and Dark Scorpion - Meanae the Thorn to attack directly. He adds Dark Scorpion - Chick the Yellow from his deck to his hand with Dark Scorpion - Meanae the Thorn and I summon Puppet King with it's effect. My opponent sets Mystical Space Typhoon and Crimson Designator during his Main Phase 2. During my opponent's End Phase, I activate Scapegoat so that I control 5 monsters. In my Draw Phase, I draw Statue of the Wicked and my opponent chains with Crimson Designator to remove Destiny Hero - Plasma from play until the End Phase. I set Statue of the Wicked during Main Phase 2. Now, here's the deal. During my End Phase, Puppet King would go to my Graveyard, and if the opponent chains with Mystical Space Typhoon, destroying Statue of the Wicked, I'd get to summon the Wicked Token. However, if my opponent responds with Mystical Space Typhoon to me setting Statue of the Wicked, he can prevent me from summoning the Wicked Token. In the latter case, my opponent could attack two of my Goat Tokens in his turn, leaving me with two monsters, not three. Two is not enough to Release for the summoning of Destiny Hero - Plasma. If you play painful choice and and select 3 wulf and 2 other cards, after Painful choice resolves, and wulf dropped to the graveyard will activate. This case is similar, I could say they special summon from the deck. I will verify with the head judge at regional on the 8th for you, but im pretty confidant with this ruling. Soul Exchange rules that you can't activate it in Main Phase 2 because you have to skip your battle phase, but does that mean you can Normal Summon and then activate Arms HoleHidden Armory?
