Yu-Gi-Oh! Rulings Questions

Recommended Posts

when u chain the 3 effects, the most "recent" effect goes first. the other 2 missed their timing.

eg. i drew doma. i use veil, Hotu then lastly, tethys as a chain. when the chain resolves, tethys will activate and u draw a card. the other 2 effects will miss their timing cause u drew during a chain.

hope this helps

The ruling on 3x HotU sorta disproves that.

When I tribute Goblin Zombie for LaDD' date=' do I get to search and add a Zombie to my hand?

[/quote']

LaDD will defiantly negate Goblin Zombie.

Gaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay.

Any way to fix that?

IE chaining summing to LaDD's summoning?

You can't chain to the summon of a monster (Yugioh Rules 101) But you could always set the LaDD. The only out I see is Doom Cal. Goblin Zombie Activates, then you can choose, Doom cal first, and LaDD second. LaDD will negate the Doom Cal allowing you to add with Goblin Zombie.

Let's say Six Samurai - Zanji attacks a monster' date=' and has its effect activate, destroying said monster at the end of the Damage Step.

Is Stardust Dragon able to negate this effect, or not?

[/quote']

Zanji states that it destroys, so yes, Stardust can negate it.

It's amazing how missing out an "n't" can make a post into fail' date=' I should double-read what I say.

Fix'd

we all do it sometimes.

I do.

Someone said that if you summon Blizzard with BWW face-up you can dodge oppression.

you special summon then search. I think they happen simultaneously so since SSing isn't the last thing on the chain you can't oppression?

Is this true?

Your opponent can chain Oppression's effect to Black Whirlwind's effect.

wha?

Effects activate based on the following order:

1. Turn Player's Mandatory Effects

2. Non-Turn Player's Mandatory Effects

3. Turn Player's Optional Effects

4. Non-Turn Player's Optional Effects

So You can make Blizzard chain link 1 and Whirlwind Chain Link 2. At this poin't Oppression can not be activated because it isn't directly Linked with blizzard. Also It can not interrupt an existing chain, ie Come in between Whirlwind and Blizzard.

It's similar to BTH being chained to BTH.

The difference is oppression is different than bottomless. Oppressions Field of View is smaller than Bottomless because it can miss more opportunities.

Okay, a judge in Fargo North Dakota told me that if i attack a face-down Morphing Jar with Ehren, Lightsworn Monk, it's flipped face-up and it's effect is activated before it's sent back to the deck, but I told him that flip effects activate after damage calculation because they are flipped face-up during the damage step. He told me no, and Morphing Jar's effect resolved.

Then later on in the duel, my opponent normal summons a Grand Mole and attacks my face-down ryko, and according to the judge, my Ryko isn't flipped face-up and it is returned to my hand because it "missed the timing".

Is this all true or is this guy just ruling against Lightsworn?

Ehren lets Damage Calculation go through, and Mole skips Damage Calculation.

FLIP monsters flip up during the damage calculation.

The judge is correct.

So my opponent grabbed his graveyard and began counting DARKS. I activated Mind Crush and Declared Dark Armed Dragon. He has to discard Dark Armed Dragon to the Graveyard because he didn't summon it yet, and was only counting DARKs? He had 3 DARKs in his graveyard but I mind crushed on the 2nd he found.

Look, checking graveyards =/= Summoning a monster. He looses that DAD. ^_^

I guess this is the best place to ask.

Recently, I've been building tons of decks for friends and siblings. However, one can't decide what I should build him, though he has a few general ideas.

With a budget of $50-100 CAD, which of these is more viable?:

  1. Magical Explosion FTK
  2. Spell Counters
  3. Secret Village of the Spellcasters
  4. Empty Jar
  5. Other Mill/Spellcaster deck
