Zazubat
If I have a card that said "if you control no monsters: You can x; Special Summon Q." If I control a monster at resolution, will my monster be Summone? Another question like this, if a card says."If this card is sent to the Graveyard: Do X." does it need to stay there? Once you activate the effect, the condition for activation needs not apply at resolution. You would have to check the resolution conditions of certain cards (Infernities have a few of these kinds) or cards that require the targets to remain the same during resolution as they were at activation, As you wrote it, the monster would still be summoned and for the second question it would not be required to stay in the Graveyard once it activated. D.A._Sakuyamon
About redux's monster reborn effect. Can I ss the monster that I discard with it to activate it's effect? I'm pretty sure that I at least need a target to begin with. I ask because it's says "You can discard this card and 1 EARTH monster to the Graveyard, then target 1 monster in your Graveyard; Special Summon that target." I could be wrong on this and that's why I'm asking.

You cannot activate this card unless you have a monster in your Graveyard, but you could discard this and then target that same monster.

Zazubat
If I return an Extra Deck monster to the Extra Deck with a card like Compulsory Evacuation Device, will Divine Mist trigger, or does it have to actually go into my hand?
newhat
It has to go to your hand. Extra Deck monsters won't trigger it.

newhat
Does Summoning Curse force you to banish from your hand as part of the procedure of Special Summoning a monster, or as a Trigger Effect when it's Special Summoned?

The card states "When a monster is Special Summoned". As such, the monster is Special Summoned first, and as a result, triggers this card's effect to discard a card. newhat
I would like to get a refresher on how the activate and use rules work. Or a page that tells me if anything. If an effect says "You can only activate 1 'X' per turn/Duel" or "The effect of 'X' can only be activated once per turn", if the activation is negated, you are not considered to have activated it and you can activate another copy. If an effect says "The effect of 'X' can only be used once per turn", even if the activation is negated you cannot use another copy. If Imperial Iron Wall and Macro Cosmos are on the field, then cards just go to the grave like normal, right? Yes. Macro Cosmos can't do something impossible. Mysty
Couldn't find a ruling on thisSo I must ask it on here Can D. Hero Plasma's effect target face down monsters like Relinquished's?It only stated "target 1 monster your opponent controls" Last I checked, face-down monsters are monsters. However, like Relinquished, Plasma will treat the face-monster's ATK (and DEF) as 0, and as such gain 0 ATK.
