Can I activate card effects that list "Discard X cards" as a cost if the Graveyard is not specified?

Yes.

Oh, and you can also activate card effects that say "Draw" even if they don't specify the deck.

What happens if I target WU Zenmaines with Soul Taker? I assume it will protect itself but does my opponent gain LP? This came up earlier and neither me nor my opponent knew the answer.

If it tribute a KM Wall to negate a spell can I chain CotH as chain link 3 to bring back the just tribute KM Wall to negate another spell after the chain resolves?

No Life Point gain.

You can CL3 Call on Wall, but it won't be on the field until after the chain starts resolving.

I've been thinking about some combos for this machine deck I'm building. If I used Limiter Removal (on a single machine), after attacking, during MP2, would I be able to use Dimension Hole or Interdimensional Matter Transporter to remove it from play to keep it from getting sent to the graveyard?

Yes. Since it left the field it is not longer in any way under the effects of Limiter Removal.

Relinquished eats Giga-cricket.

Plasma or Truckroid eat Giga-cricket.

results?

Relinquished gains Giga-Cricket's ATK as per its effect, Giga-Cricket makes its original ATK 2000, making it 4000 with piercing.

Similar instances will occur with the rest. While equipped, Giga-Cricket will change any monster's original ATK to 2000 and make them inflict piercing, it doesn't state anywhere it has to be equipped in a certain manner.

1: If Power Filter is out can Hieratic Dragon of Gebeb use either of its effects?

Yes to both. The monster's ATK/DEF becomes 0 when it is successfully summoned. It is not considered as him attempting to summon a 1000 or less ATK monster.

2: If Banisher of the Radiance is Tributed for Enemy Controller, is Banisher banished or sent to the Graveyard?

If Banisher itself is sent to the Graveyard, its own effect will not apply for itself, and it will be sent to the Graveyard (as well as anything leaving the field simultaneously with it, such as when Black Rose Dragon blows up the field.)

If I Special Summon a monster with "Swing of Memories" while I have "Non-Spellcasting Area" on the field, would my monster be prevented from being destroyed because its completely unaffected by Spell Cards?

Right.

BREAKING NEWS: Wrong...

THIS JUST IN: Right, apparently.

Right.

Wrong.

Second point.

Swing of Memories places a condition on the monster. It is not being affected by a spell card when the condition hits.

With "Non-Spellcasting Area" on the field, It will not be destroyed in the End Phase by the effects of "Swing of Memories".

How about Summoner of Illusions. Does it destroy Fiend Skull Dragon? Also why?

"Fiend Skull Dragon" will not be destroyed by the effects of "Summoner of Illusions" during the End Phase due to its own effect.

"Ritual Foregone" and "Instant Fusion" are different, likely due to it being in the same sentence to that of a condition "It cannot attack, and is destroyed during the End Phase". I don't really have any other way to explain it from the observation of the different cards.
