evilfusion
The Viruses seem to confuse a few people. When it first resolves, it checks the field and hand and destroys the appropriate cards. After that, the field and hand are safe, EXCEPT for cards you draw, which are checked for 3 turns. Adding cards, Special Summoning, bouncing, whatever...as long as it's not a "draw", it's safe from the Virus.
~British Soul~
if i was to Book of Moon "Chimeratech Fortress Dragon" when it is flipped face-up would its ATK go to 0 or would the ATK be the same as it was when it was Fusion Summoned? This indead means that it'd go to 0. This also happens when it's effect was negated (like with Skill Drain or with Forbidden Chalice)

TCG warrior
I have a question too;I activate ultimate offering 3 times creating a chain. The first time I set morphing jar , the second summon I tribute morphing jar for Gaius and the 3rd summon I summon a gemini elf (this one and morphing jar are just random).Does the effect of Gaius still activate. And if my opponent wants to destroy Gaius with solemn judgement (negate the summon), can he/she? and what about bottomless trap hole (destroy the succesfully summoned card)? Caius is a Mandatory Trigger Effect that cannot miss the timing, so its effect will still activate. Second, You cannot activate Ultimate Offering 3 times in a chain in your situation. if you have no monsters on the field, the number of times you can activate Ultimate Offering is TWICE only, because you only have 2 Monsters in your hand that you can actually Normal Summon at activation. TCG warrior
It was just to create the scenario, but what if I had another level 4 or lower monster in my hand, then I could activate it 3 times in a row.And can my opponent then activate solemn judgement or bottomless trap hole on the second monster I summon? TCG warrior
Fusion said I could only chain it twice because I had only 2 monsters in my hand I could summon at the moment I activated ultimate offering. I changed the scenario, putting a third summonable monster in my hand which would make it possible to chain it three times.
evilfusion
Actualy, it was DARKWOLF who said it, not me. If you can legally activate Ultimate Offering 3 times... Chain Link 1: OfferingChain Link 2: OfferingChain Link 3: Offering Resolving backwards: Chain Link 3: Normal Summon 1 monsterChain Link 2: Normal Summon 1 monsterChain Link 1: Normal Summon 1 monster The opponent can only respond to the monster Summoned in Chain Link 1 (the last one played). They cannot respond to the middle of the chain.
Darklord Draxon
If you use Black Rose's effect to remove a plant from your graveyard to switch a monster to attack mode and reduce its ATK to 0 until the end phase. Would the effect still work if the monster is already in attack position?
Lonk
If the summon of an xyz monster is negated, do the materials stay on the field or go to the grave as well?
evilfusion
If you use Black Rose's effect to remove a plant from your graveyard to switch a monster to attack mode and reduce its ATK to 0 until the end phase. Would the effect still work if the monster is already in attack position? No. Black Rose specifically states to change a Defense Position monster to Attack Position and reduce its ATK to 0. If it's not in Defense, the effect can't be used. If the summon of an xyz monster is negated, do the materials stay on the field or go to the grave as well? They should go to the Graveyard. The same way Synchro Materials go to the Graveyard before the Synchro monster is Summoned, the Xyz materials are overlaid. If the Xyz monster is removed from the field or negated, the Materials go to the Graveyard.
Lonk
Thanks evilfusion. It was the only question looming over my head about the game. Now I should be ready for the Xyz era now with no confusion.
Greiga
What about that old Japanese video where he Warning'd Hope and the other guy got back the Materials? Do we disregard that?
evilfusion
What about that old Japanese video where he Warning'd Hope and the other guy got back the Materials? Do we disregard that? To be honest, I don't know the rules for Xyz and how the attached monsters play into the Summon.
Greiga
I guess I'll just wait for when the TCG gets them to find out, because as a new summon mechanic Konami will probably explain them alot in the rulebook and online. The video would make sense though as the materials left the field to summon the Xyz, but didn't go into the grave. I remember someone saying something along the lines of they're on the field, but they aren't.
Welche the crab
Does Green Baboon work on itself?
evilfusion
Does Green Baboon work on itself? No. Baboon must already be in the hand or Graveyard in order to recognize the Trigger. Ruling Quote 1: This effect can be activated after a Beast-Type monster you control is destroyed and sent to the Graveyard, if that monster was face-up and "Green Baboon, Defender of the Forest" was in your hand or Graveyard when it was destroyed. Ruling Quote 2: When "Green Baboon, Defender of the Forest" is destroyed, you cannot use its effect to Special Summon itself.

darkwolf777
I have black whirlwind on field and thunder king face up. I normal Shura, and my opponent Veiler's thunder king. Do I get the search? When you Normal Summon Shura, the Optional Trigger Effect of Black Whirlwind cannot activate (you cannot choose to activate the optional effect that adds a card to your hand because you cannot perform that action with Rai-Oh on the field). So in order for you to get Black Whirlwind's effect, Rai-Oh needed to be negated prior to you triggering Black Whirlwind by Normal Summoning a Blackwing Monster. .Nu-13
Its text means that it restricts summons AFTER it's activated?
evilfusion
The wording points that way, yes. Since it says "another monster", that means you can Normal or Special Summon prior to activating the card, as opposed to cards that restrict it during that turn, like Soul Exchange, Duality, etc.
Master White
Umm, I was wondering. If an card would return a Fusion monster you control to your hand, would it go to the Extra Deck like Synchro's?
