-Griffin
Stardust Dragon/Assault Mode can negate the effects of Continuous Cards like Black Whirlwind' date=' even after they are on the field, right? Is there an actual RULING that says so? Because I tell people that and they don't believe me...[/quote'] No, I don't believe you can. I believe you can negate "The activation of:*A Spell Card*A Trap Card*An Effect Monster's effect" Not a Spell Card's effect or Trap Card's effect. I had tested it in game the last time this question was mentioned and found that SD/AM can negate the activation of effects as well, meaning it can negate already face-up Continuous Spell/Trap cards if their effects create a chain (Ignition and Trigger effects of Continuous Spell/Trap/Field Cards). According to wiki rulings for Stardust Dragon, SD can negate cards to already face-up Continuous Spell/Traps as well, such as Skull Lair and Blaze Accelerator, meaning Stardust Dragon can negate the activation of effects that destroy as well. How to prove it to him? I'd say through the video games x.o;
Expelsword
So there's no ruling? It's just a game for evidence?
darkwolf777
I'm not a judge, nor have I ever gone to any official Yugioh outing. Even then I hear complains of Judges who don't know the rules, so normally I go with the video games, even though its using OCG rulings, 99.9% of the cards in game work correctly (or so we assume) :3c Because of the way the game handles it, the wording on SD/AM and SD should change to say "When the effect of a Spell/Trap or Monster Card is activated" (that would Destroy a card on the field for SD), you can tribute this card to negate the activation and destroy the card". The wording SD/AM has now only implies that card activations can be negated, not the effect activations, which the games themselves show that you can. darkwolf777
I doubt we can convince them of anything. The games themselves (not Forbidden Memories!!) might be the closest thing to convincing anyone of anything unless you have a Konami Rulemaker around with you x.o;
JadenxAtemYAOI
Essential to my deck question. If Hundred-eyes dragon is using the ability of giant germ and he's destroyed in the turn he uses the effect then can I special summon 2 giant germs then use ultimate offering to tribute them to summon Earthbound Immortal Ccapuc apu? Second question. If I have Malefic Stardust Dragon on the field along with clock tower prison at 4 counters, is Clock Tower protected from another field spell from being played? evilfusion
Hundred Eyes Dragon only copies the effect and name of the monster while HED is on the field. It does not get the grave effects of Sangan, Giant Germ, etc. Malefic Stardust only protects fields from being destroyed by effects like Heavy Storm. New field spells being played will still destroy the other (it's not an effect destroying it, but a game condition of only one field being allowed to be active at once). Field Barrier, on the other hand, will protect from new fields being played.

Sephiroth_The_Legend
damn.... makes it more tough then. Excluding Doom Shaman, Limit Reverse, Tomato.what cards can i use to quickly get Yubel - Ultimate Nightmare to the field?
-Griffin
Not much, only what can get Yubel out, and destroy it. There's the new Fiend Street Patrol thing to Summon Yubel from your hand, but otherwise you won't get much luck.
