Cypress
is there a card whose effect goes along the lines of: cards removed from play are sent to the graveyard instead
evilfusion
Uh...no. Burial From a Different Dimension returns 3 RFG cards to the grave, and Imperial Iron Wall would prevent RFGing, period (so cards destroyed, sent, or Tributed would go to the grave/appropriate spot when they'd ordinarily be RFGed), but there is no "reverse Macro Cosmos" card. darkwolf777
is there a card whose effect goes along the lines of: cards removed from play are sent to the graveyard instead No. Closest would be Imperial Iron Wall if you don't want anything in the RFG. burnpsy
Are there any cards that lower the levels of cards in the Extra Deck? is there a card whose effect goes along the lines of: cards removed from play are sent to the graveyard instead No. Closest would be Imperial Iron Wall if you don't want anything in the RFG. The closest thing to what you want is Burial from the Different Dimnsion, which is Limited and one-time use.

evilfusion
Cards that lower the levels of cards in the Extra deck COMPLETELY DEFEATS THE POINT of Synchros being summoned by exact level, and the restrictions of cards like Instant Fusion. So no, there aren't. Plenty of cards that lower or raise the levels of monsters on the field, though.
crimsonwendy
If your opponent activates Substitoad's ability and you use Book of Moon in a chain dose Substitoad's effect still go off? What would happen if you Book of Moon a Monarch while it is being Summoned? -Griffin
Book of Moon doesn't effect Subsitoad or Monarchs.

crimsonwendy
The effects go through. They are Ignition Effects and don't rely on the monster still being faceup on the field to resolve. What about cards like Stardust Dragon, JD, and DAD.
evilfusion
Stardust Dragon Tributes itself as a cost. Costs are paid before chains can be attempted. Therefore, Stardust is no longer around for something to affect it (aside from cards that'll negate the effect, like Divine Wrath). JD will still nuke the field, even if it is not on the field. If it is facedown due to Book of Moon, it will destroy itself with its own effect. DAD will still destroy the targetted card.

What about cards like Stardust Dragon' date=' JD, and DAD.[/quote'] What you want to look at are cards that require specific targets to be in a certain position. Take Chaos Sorcerer. It states "You can remove from play 1 Face-up monster on the field.". In this example, the target must be Face-up. In that case, if an effect is chained so that the target is no longer face-up, then Chaos Sorcerer's effect will fail. Take a look at a monster's conditions (for example "While this card remains face-up on the field"), or a condition for the target (attack or defense position, face-up or face-down, etc) to determine if removing them or flipping them face-down will cancel their effects. evilfusion
Or cards that check a certain type, attribute, or stat. Like Ehero Thunder Giant. If it's flipped facedown, you can no longer see its ATK so you can't compare whether the target's original ATK is equal or less.
Dark Seraphim
Can i use King Of The Swamp and/or Fusion Recovery to retrieve Super Polymerization from my deck/grave?
evilfusion
No. Both those cards specifically state "Polymerization" as the card to retrieve/search. If it said 1 "Polymerization" card, then you could, by reason of the wording. (For the record, I believe Fusion Sage is ruled to only search regular Polymerization)
Sephiroth_The_Legend
ok, i've asked this before, and i've read it in forums and such. If i SS a GB monster with GB Darius and play book of moon on that monster, can i then activate the effect? I tried it on WC10 and the effect fizzled.......
evilfusion
You should be able to. Turning the monster f/d resets the "condition" of negation imposed by Darius, and since the effect was already activated, it should go through. The same holds true for Skill Drain. I tried it on WC10 and the effect fizzled.......[/quote'] Big Issue with this~ If you Book of Moon the monster Special Summoned by Darius, then the monster is no longer considered to have been Special Summoned by a Gladiator Beast monster, so any effects related to that will not work. Next, the effect "That monster's effect(s) is negated, and it is returned to your Deck when this card is removed from the field." targets the monster that Darius Special Summoned (The negation is not like Junk Synchron where the negation is placed onto the monster, the negation only lasts as long as Darius targets the monster). If you want to use the Special Summoned monster's effect, then Book of Moon Darius, not the Special Summoned monster.
