Yu-Gi-Oh! Rulings Questions

No worries, I beleeted it after noticing. Just checking on wording, I was thinking if either player cannot discard then "Each players discard their hands" could not be performed, that's why I had said that, but it appears to be ruled otherwise so long as one person can discard. Maybe its because of the wording "Each" meaning each player on their own performs this action if they can perform it, and if they can, it will, and if they cannot, then the effect doesn't work for that player. Hand Destruction says otherwise on that (but this has a specific number of cards that must be discarded).

It may be a combination of using the term "Each" as well as "discard their hand" not defined with a specified value and the number of cards being discarded is not determined until resolution.

Card Destruction CAN be used so long as there is at least one card to discard among both players. The effect is to discard and draw; it's not a cost like with Card of Sanctity. So you can use Card Destruction even if only your opponent will discard and draw, or vice versa.

Neither token can be summoned.

If tokens or monsters are summoned simultaneously (and don't have an "up to" clause), then none can be summoned when you don't have room. So you need 3 slots for Ojama Trio to work, 4 slots for Scapegoat, and 2 for Dandylion. If you have less slots before resolution, it fizzles.

If Goyo Guardian attacks Colossal Fighter that had its attack halved, then Goyo Guardian effect can be activated, but will not have a target because Colossal Fighter's effect is mandatory so Goyo can only be chain link 1 correct?

Scenario:

"Harpie's Hunting Ground" is in play, and my opponent has "Mystical Space Typhoon" face-down. I summon a "Harpie Lady 1." The effect of "Harpie's Hunting Ground" activates, which lets me destroy 1 spell/trap card on the field whenever a "Harpie Lady" or "Harpie Lady Sisters" is normal or special summoned.

Could the opponent chain "Mystical Space Typhoon" to the effect of "Harpie's Hunting Ground" and destroy it without the effect resolving? I'm thinking that is the case.

Incorrect. A mandatory effect is lowest in the chain. Colossal Fighter will be Chain Link 1. Goyo Guardian (an optional effect) will be Chain Link 2. Goyo Guardian will steal Colossal Fighter.

Goyo Guardian has since been errata'd to have "You Can" added to its effect making it optional. This changes the answer:

Turn Player's Optional Effects will be lowest on the chain before Opponent's Optional Effects.

In this case, Your Goyo Guardian will be Chain Link 1, and your opponent's Colossal Fighter will be Chain Link 2. Resolving backwards, Colossal Fighter will Special Summon a Warrior-Type monster (presumably itself) and then Goyo Guardian will steal Colossal Fighter (unless Colossal Fighter Special Summoned itself, in which case Goyo Guardian will fizzle).

The effects of a Face-Up Continuous Spell, Trap, or Field Spell Card will not resolve successfully if the card is not face-up on the field at resolution. If your opponent chains Mystical Space Typhoon to your Harpie's Hunting Ground, and destroys it, Harpie's Hunting Ground will fail to resolve.
