evilfusion
I have a follow-up to the Rai-Oh questions from a while ago What exactly determines which cards start chains?I mean' date=' can't Rai-Oh negate Cyber Dragon?Could it negate Summoner Monk? and do all cards that chain have immunity from Rai-Oh?Can it stop Assault Mode Activate?Or Instant Fusion?Starlight Road? Honestly I want to know more so it doesn't seem like I'm cheating when I say Rai-Oh can't negate something.[/quote'] My current understanding of Rai-Oh's Effect is that it can negate Special Summons that do not involve another card's effect to summon them. You cannot stop Fusion Summons (the Fusion Spell summoned it), but any Summon that does not require another card to perform can be stopped. Cydra will be stopped. The other 4 examples cannot. Call of the Haunted cannot be stopped. It evidently has the same timing as Solemn Judgment in this regard. You can Solemn a card effect that summons, but not the Summon itself. Almost any monster that DIRECTLY summons itself can be negated, such as Synchros (they're summoned by sending the Tuner/nonTuners), Cyber Dragon, Machina Fortress, Lava Golem, etc.
Expelsword
alright, good to know I have ALMOST nothing to fear of Rai-Oh
-Griffin
Some monsters Summon themself, and still can't be negated by Rai-Oh/Solemn. (Eg. Gorz) That's anything that Summons itself by an EFFECT that ACTIVATES, instead of a Summon condition... Just check disputes on the wikia as they arise. Expelsword
Solemn can't negate Gorz, but /Assault can right? because it's not a summon it's an effect? I think I got it now...Rai-Oh seems pathetic now...
-Griffin
Yeah. Assault can negate Gorz (but not CyDra... or anything Rai-Oh can negate) Rai-Oh's still great. It's a 1900 ATK beatstick with Honest, stops search and can still beat the face off every synchro in the game, along with Glad Fusions, JD, DAD, Faultroll, Plasma and all manner of other boss cards. GenzoTheHarpist
I always thought Rai-Oh's first effect was the real reason to run him anyway. The second was just a bonus.
Fh-Fh
Are the effects of Spirit monsters Nagated by "Angel 07"? I.E. Do they return to the hand or is it negated?
darkwolf777
Are the effects of Spirit monsters Nagated by "Angel 07"? I.E. Do they return to the hand or is it negated? First, Angel O7 does not negate anything. It prevents the activation of Monster Effects. Second, any monster card effect that activates (any that are not Continuous Effects) cannot be activated while Angel O7 is in effect. This includes Ignition Effects, Trigger Effects, Quick Effects, and Flip Effects. Spirit Monsters whose effects to return them to the hand during the End Phase is a Trigger Effect. It cannot activate while Angel O7's effect is active that prevents Monster Effect Activations. tl;dr The Spirit Monsters' effect to return to the hand during the End Phase will not activate while Angel O7's effect is active and they will remain on the Field. crimsonwendy
If you Tribute Treeborn Frog for the Tyrant Neptune can you bring the Tyrant Neptune back from the Graveyard. Also if you Tribute a Trap monster for the Tyrant Neptune dose it count as a Trap card and if so dose 1 of your Spell and Trap card zones become unuseable. evilfusion
The effect of the Tyrant Neptune only applies when it's on the field. When it leaves the field, it loses the stolen effect, so Treeborn Frog would not do anything.
darkwolf777
If you Tribute Treeborn Frog for the Tyrant Neptune can you bring the Tyrant Neptune back from the Graveyard. Tyrant Neptune keeps the effects only while it is on face-up on the field. If it is removed from the field' date=' then it no longer has those effects. Also if you Tribute a Trap monster for the Tyrant Neptune dose it count as a Trap card and if so dose 1 of your Spell and Trap card zones become unuseable. The Tyrant Neptune's effect states "Select one of the Tributed Effect Monsters in the Graveyard". A Trap Card is not an Effect Monster, and therefore is not a valid target. Fh-Fh
If I use Celestial Transformation to summon Dark Valkyria then use Super Double Summon, is it Destoyed or returned to my hand during the end phase?

Turn Player choose which order multiple Trigger Effects that Trigger to a Standby or End Phase phase resolves in. If you did this combo on your turn, you choose which one resolves first. If you did this on your opponent's turn (since they're both Quick-Play), they would choose which resolves first.

Red_Gengar
Ancient Gear Beast attacks a face-down Ryko. Ryko was destroyed, so his effect activates and is negated. Nothing happens, right?
evilfusion
Correct. Milling for Ryko is part of the effect, not a cost, so the milling is not performed.

evilfusion
It can't negate the summon, because that's not an effect. It's a Summoning Condition. But yes, it can negate the Pump effect because, lo and behold, that is an effect.
JadenxAtemYAOI
Is Black Rose a staple?
evilfusion
Uh...yes. It's a level 7 generic Synchro that can wipe the field when summoned. There aren't that many good level 7 generic Synchros, and the ability to wipe the field can prove to come in useful if you're behind, or to punish your opponent. There's little reason NOT to reserve a slot in your Extra Deck, unless you dont use Synchros at all.
