Fraz
I have Stardust/Assault out' date=' and attack his facedown GBHe uses Hedge GuardI negateHe tries to War Chariot I argued since either:You need a faceup GB to use it, and if I tribute Stardust, the attack is negated and he never is faceup If your GB is faceup that means its after damage calculation and it is destroyed, so you control NO GBs Can he activate War Chariot like that?[/quote']Hedge Guard is during damage calc so the GB is face up on the field. You are able to chariot while there is a face up glad beast on field so stardust is negated and monster is not destroyed by battle. Monster is considered to have battled this turn and is able to tag out. Assault was destroyed while in grave so its effect cannot activate to revive a stardust. If it reached Step 3, the monster being attacked would be face-up regardless of what happens between then and Damage Calculation, even if the Attacker is removed and Damage Calculation never happens. If something flips target monster down, it's effect fizzles.[/quote'] And if Valley is removed from the field by, for example, Compulsory Evac? Cyber Valley's effect states: You can remove from play this card and 1 face-up monster you control, and draw 2 cards. Since its not a cost, everything must stay valid when resolving. For Cyber Valley, it just simply needs to be on the field. "This card" has no conditions to it and it is still considered "This Card" whether it is face-up or face-down on the field. For the 1 Face-Up Monster, that monster must stay face-up when resolving. If it is no longer Face-Up, it is no longer a valid target and the effect fails. If either monster is removed from the field, the effect will fail. Edit: If it helps to mention, Cyber Valley targets. It targets itself and it targets 1 Face-Up Monster on your side of the field. Whether Cyber Valley is face-up or face-down, it is a valid target. The other card is only a valid target if it is face-up.

Sephiroth_The_Legend
If i activate Offerings to the Snake Deity, do i have to a control a face-up reptile, or is similar to Icarus where the monster can be face-down.I figure it might be different because it says destroy and not tribute... evilfusion
It has to be faceup because it targets a reptile to destroy. If it's facedown, Offerings can't tell it's a Reptile. You can Tribute facedown type-specific cards because the player's paying a cost before the effect does anything.

Face-down monsters have no declared type and are not valid targets. If a card effect like Book of Moon is chained so that your Reptile-Type monster is flipped face-down, so that its type can no longer be determined, then Offering to the Snake Deity will fizzle. Icy
A less stupid question this time...I understand that Synchro's are summoned by removing cards on the field. But is that a Cost... or just generally removing them?
Expelsword
Synchro Materials are SENTNot TributedNot DestroyedSENT to the Gave and are not a cost
-Griffin
No cards directly interact with costs, so there is no ruling on that since it's never been needed. A negated Summon still loses the monsters, so I guess it's kinda a cost, but again, it's not an effect... so no rulings.
Eminemrocks24
I just made 2 yugioh cards with the yugioh card maker. Can someone tell me how to print them so i can glue the front and backs together?( if there is a back).I just summoned LaDD but it got Solemn'd. Does LaDD's last effect to destroy my field and ss a monster from my grave still activate? I summoned Artemis and it got Solemn'd. I chained with Dark Bribe and the chain was over. Do I still draw cards for Artemis' effect? I destroyed an atk mode monster with Kycoo and inflicted damage from that battle. Am I still able to remove the monster I just destroyed with Kycoo's effect? I think these will be helpful. that is the coolest card everDo I have this right? To summon a level 8 Syncro Monster you tribute a tuner and non tuners whose levels add up 8? Like' date=' could I for example, tribute a level 4 tuner and a Dark Blade to Syncro Summon a Syncro?[/quote'] yeah. you should be able to.
