If I chain something like Compulse to BRD's destruction effect' date=' will it return to the Extra Deck and the effect still happen? Or is it because it's an optional effect it wouldn't work?

[/quote']

When BRD is summoned your opponent must choose to activate it's effect before you activate something, when the effect is activated, even when it is returned BRD's effect will Nuke the field

Question 0: Can we ask questions about OCG cards that have not been released in TCG yet?

Statement: If no, ignore the rest of the post.

Question 1: Can Junk Collector activate any normal trap card, regardless of conditions?

Question 1i: For more specific cases, can Junk Collector force the effect of Rise of the Snake Diety?

0: Yes

1: Yes

2: I have to change my answer. I was correct in that conditions and costs are ignored, but I forgot about timing. The timing of the activation must still be correct, therefore you CANNOT use Rise of the Snake Diety with Junk Collector.

Royal Oppression vs Recruiters?

if my recruiter dies during battle while Oppression is face-up' date=' the SS cant be negated because the SS happened during the Battle Phase. im kinda foggy on this one. does anyone know the exact ruling?

[/quote']

You cannot activate Royal Oppression during the Damage Step. Only Counter Traps, cards that directly affect ATK/DEF, or specifically state they can be used during the Damage Step can be used.

And monsters that negate things like Stardust - why does everyone forget them?

I didn't actually forget them, i was being specific in terms of "Trap Cards". Monsters with Quick Effects were not included in that list as they are not Trap Cards :D

They're also not included in the list because they can't be used in the Damage Step. Things like D.D. Crow cannot, only monsters that specifically negate can iirc.

**DISCLAIMER**: Below is a quick generalization that i'm making which MAY NOT be true for all examples and cards that exist in the game, though if you can find an example that doesn't follow it, then that's fine and you can quote this and put the example later xD If the generalization is true, then yay for me i guess for making it :3c

Well in any case, maybe we can split it up into an "Ignition Quick Effect" and a "Trigger Quick Effect". In order for an Ignition Quick Effect like D.D. Crow to be used in the Damage Step, it would have to affect ATK/DEF, say it can specifically be used in Damage Step, etc, so the timing isn't correct. Stardust Dragon is a Trigger Quick Effect, which as long as it fits the conditions, it can be activated during either player's turn, including the Damage Step.

**Places another DISCLAIMER sticker here**

Umm...

If I use Celestial Transformation to summon Doitsu or Koitsu and I union them to Soitsu' date=' will the Union Monsters still be Destroyed at the end of the Turn?

[/quote']

not exactly sure, but I'm thinking they go boom.

Celestial Trans states that if a monster goes facedown it doesnt go boom though, so Im thinking if it changes to an equip spell it won't be destroyed either.

it's still faceup there though, that might be the determining factor on book, it usually is.

Bah... Confusing stuff is confusing. And the ruling on this determines how well this deck runs (since the Oitsu's are so high leveled and hard to summon).
