Yu-Gi-Oh! Rulings Questions

OK' date=' look at this situation

Hand: Left leg of the Forbidden One, Right Leg of the Forbidden One, Left Arm of the Forbidden One, Right Arm of the Forbidden One, Allure of Darkness

I play allure and draw Exodia the forbidden one and Magic Cyllinder, Do i win the duel, or must I remove from play one of the exodia cards for allure's effect.

I assume that I win, but once again the judge at my locals is an idiot.

[/quote']

Unfortunately, your judge is correct. You must finish the current effect you're doing before you can declare your victory, similar to Graceful Charity's rulings on the subject.

I thought that resulted in a tie...

By what means?

Does Macro Cosmos/D Fissure/Banisher stop Synchro Summoning?

No. The Synchro Material Monsters are removed from play instead of being sent to the Graveyard' date=' though.

Does Macro Cosmos/Banisher and Gravekeepers Servant stop attacks?

Yes. The cost cannot be paid.

If yes' date=' what happens with D Fissure?

[/quote']

Yes, because you can't be sure of being able to pay the cost. In an absurdly stupid ruling, attacks still cannot be declared even if Convulsion of Nature is face-up on the field and everyone can see that the card that would be discarded is a Spell/Trap.

Question about Against the Wind;

1. Against the Winds effect states "Select 1 "Blackwing" Monster in your graveyard. Take damage to the ATK of the selected monster, and add it to your hand." Is the damage you take from this ability considered to be a Cost?

(2.) If not, can the damage effects be redirected to the opponent using cards such as "Barrel Behind the Door"?

1) Damage from "Against the Winds" is not a cost.

2) Yes, you can redirect the damage you take with "Against the Winds" to your opponent with "Barrel Behind The Door". Whether you want to bother adding that to your deck just for that purpose...

So monsters are Tributed rather that sent to the Graveyard for a Synchro Summon?

Right.

Right.

Technically it is tributed, but not for a tribute summon, which is why you can use Doomsday tokens or Scapegoat tokens for synchro summons.

It's not technically tributed. Mask of Restrict won't affect it. It's just "sent as Synchro Material." standardly to the Graveyard, but goes to the RFG in some situations.

So it's not "sent from field to graveyard" because if that were the case a synchro summon wouldn't be able to occur with D-Fissure on the field... What would it be called then?

2 questions about the ABPF sneak peek 2morrow:

1. Can you use a side deck at a sneak preview?

2. What is the estimate for Battle Faders's price when it comes out at the sneak peek?

@ Question 1. Yes, but the side deck must be 15 cards in volume, and must contain only cards from the packs given to you as part of the sneak preview fee.

If you're talking about the Konami free play sneak peek. Otherwise I have no clue.

There isn't a specific term for it' date=' really. It's "sent from the field", but not to a specific place - the Graveyard is the default.

[/quote']

we use the ad-hoc term "tuned", which really doesn't mean anything more than it was used for a synchro summon.

I've used "tuned" as well, though to my knowledge it isn't an official term at all. But it should be; "tuned" certainly sounds better than "used as a Synchro Material Monster" and is much shorter. Pity Konami almost never uses keywords for anything.

Creature Seizure says that Each player gives their opponent control of 1 of their monsters (controller's choice). You must choose a face-up Normal Monster.

Does the bolded part mean that you AND your opponent need to choose a Vanilla' date=' or just you/the user?

[/quote']

It just means you, the user.

Creature Seizure is strictly inferior to Creature Swap.
