Can I activate Question while Imperial Iron Wall is out?

Since at activation, neither effect is definite...

You can activate Question while Imperial Iron Wall is active.

You can activate Question while a card on the field prevents Special Summons (such as Cactus Bouncer or Fossil Dyna Pachycephalo).

You cannot activate Question if both Imperial Iron Wall AND a card that prevents Special Summons is active as neither option can be performed.

I really hate to be a bother, since this is such a hard question, but...

Going of this effect:

When your opponent activates a Monster Effect from their Hand, you can negate that effect and Special Summon this card from your Hand in face-up Defense Position.

I know it has the power to stop Honest and cards like that, and not Cyber Dragon or things like him, but (and here's the stretch)

are there any other commonly used monster effects that activate "in the hand"?

Look for any Quick Effect monsters or Trigger Effect monsters that activate in the Hand.

Honest, Kalut, D.D. Crow, Kuriboh, Hedge Guard, Battle Fader, Gorz, Effect Veiler, Herald of Green/Orange/Purple Light, Gem Merchant, Effect Veiler... etc

Of course, based on the nature of the card (either by text or by type), your card may or may not be used during the Damage Step, so some may not apply. Since by the looks of it that it is a Quick Effect Monster Effect with a Negation Effect, it would be usable during the Damage Step, so there's no need to worry about that.

Also, understand that the card your making also activates from the Hand, so another of that card could activate and negate the first one lol.

Just learn how to determined the difference between a card that activates an effect and a card with a Summon Condition, and you'll be able to figure it out on your own which cards this could negate. Remember that effects that activate can be chained to.

Hehe, I don't ever forsee that situation

so I'm looking for Trigger effects?

Like things that say,

when X, do Y?

Trigger Effects that activate in the Hand: Gorz, Tragoedia, Van'Dalgyon the Dark Dragon Lord, Battle Fader, Golden Ladybug

Quick Effects that activate in the Hand: Kuriboh, Honest, Kalut, Effect Veiler, D.D. Crow

Ignition Effects that activate in the Hand: Elemental Hero - Captain Gold, Hecatrice, Warrior of Atlantis

Of course, these are only a few examples, but stuff like this.

If you go second, either Cyber Dragon/any Special Summonable 5 star + Scrap Goblin (Dragon) or Scrap Beast (Twin).

Scrap Dragon is a generic level 8 Dragon Synchro. Whatever method you'd use for it would theoretically be the same for any level 8 Dragon Synchro. If you want exact moves, it's pointless because it heavily depends on your deck build and opening hand.

Ah, how Could i have forgotten about cyber dragon and everything else.

I was expecting something like:

Foolish burial scrap beast/soldier

norm scrap chimera

But then again nobody uses soldier.

Thanks!

That sort of thing works too. Scrap Synchros get a lot of mileage out of Chimera.

let's say my opp activates an effect that Destroys all cards either on my side or the whole field while i control crystal beast as monsters, even if i activate my crystal beast monster effect and place them as spell cards would they still be destroyed???

They should not be destroyed, because all cards on the field are being destroyed simultaneously, not one at a time.

I was just wondering how do you get scrap dragon/scrap twin dragon out first turn? What has to be your hand? and what do you have to do?

Summoner Monk + 1 Spell Card? Summon Summoner Monk, use its effect dicarding the Spell Card for Scrap Beast (or any Level 4 Tuner for that matter), Synch for Scrap Dragon?

If your opponent went first and controls a monster, then Special Summon Cyber Dragon + Normal Summon Scrap Beast, Synch for Scrap Twin Dragon?

I not saying these are practical though in a Scrap Deck, I have yet to make one to know what should be in one, though I probably should in Tag Force 5 >_>; They would work though in any case.

Going back to my Hand-Monster killer, can its effect be chained by Solemn Warning?

Yes. Your monster's effect is a Quick Effect. It Negates and Special Summons itself.

Since the card's effect Special Summons itself, Solemn Warning can negate it, thereby negating your card's negation effect and the Special Summon.

Does the effect of Scrap Oil Zone that destroys the monster it Special Summoned with its effect counts as destruction by effect (for the effects of the Scrap Tuners/Shark)?

"When this card is removed from the field, destroy that monster" is a card effect. A "Scrap" monster destroyed by this effect will be considered "destroyed by the effects of a 'Scrap' card" since Scrap Lube/Scrap Oil Zone has "Scrap" in its card name.

Absolute Zero's effect activates whenever it is removed from the field, except when it is returned face-down to the extra deck, right?

Elemental Hero - Absolute Zero will activate if it was returned from the Field to the Extra Deck.

Elemental Hero - Absolute Zero will not activate if it was removed from the field while face-down on the field, no matter where it went.

EBI Aslla Piscu is ruled not to activate its effect when returned to the deck. Is this because effects cannot be activated from the Main Deck? That's the only reason I can think of the discrepency.

Effects of cards in the Main Deck cannot be activated since you do not have access to those cards. You do however have free access to the cards in your Extra Deck.

The only odd few are cards that Special Summon themselves from the Deck (such as Familiar-Possessed Charmers), but those would be Summon Conditions that specifically work from the Deck, not effects activating.

Clearly, Serpentine Princess can screw the rules as she has money. Surely that scepter thing costs a pretty penny. You can't really argue with this one I guess, as it explicitly has to work that way. I mean, that's its trigger. x.x Damn these old Yugimonz cards to prove me incorrect. Ah well. Then just to amend it, unless a card effect specifically allows it to activate from the Deck in some way, it wont x.x

Its the only thing that makes any sense to me regarding Absolute Zero and Aslla Piscu. You have free access to your Extra Deck so you'd be able to activate an effect from the Extra Deck that way. Your Main Deck not so much, except with these exceptions of course.
