Divine Serpent Geh

But its ? attack so you can't BTH it anyway and if it summons in the damage step (which I think it does with the battle destruction clause) it can't be TT'd either. Like sure a later TT on another summon but it's much less convenient. It's actually looking nicer the more I think about it.

Oh right, so no BTH or TT. Judgement and Warning are limited so that leaves Strike (which might get limited) and super poly that eats anything (but is also limited) not a bad card at all on second glance

The last effect is activated, so Dark Lady can kill it.

(3) If this card attacks an opponent’s monster, during that damage step, that monster’s effects are negated and that monster’s ATK becomes half its original ATK.

Also optional 4th eff

There's always hope we'll get Deuteros and Tritos.

They need a "If you control the Seal of Orichalcos, you can add this card from your Deck to your hand instead of conducting your normal Draw" though

I mean the effects for the 2nd and 3rd rings were pretty damn broken :/

OH NOES, I GAIN 500 LP FOR EVERY MONSTER ON MY FIELD, SO BROKEN

oh noes, i can tribute a monster to negate a direct attack! so broken!

oh noes, i can negate any effect that happens to target one of my monsters! so broken!

Okay, the last one kinda is dumb, but its not broken.

As for Geh, its dumb how the strongest boss in all of ygo can be killed in battle by a funking utopia

Sounds pretty bad to make new cards based on a field spell that has a OPD clause.

BUT, I'm really pleased with how this turned out. It falls into the Tragoedia niche quite nicely. I appreciate that, when you time it, it can actually put an abrupt end to an opponent's battlephase, and the targeting protection is a nice addition that makes it just a little harder to remove. Of course, it's not impossible to deal with, but its searchability and effects make for a surprisingly solid card. I look forward to seeing what makes a good use of this.

Another adorable hand trap ... this is far more than I expected, I expected just as much, however with absurd summoning conditions (similar to shunoros ... not even worth having the same name as the anime version) ... anyways

I have nothing mroe to add to that, that is quite on point on what I would state as well.

I agree it's a fine card. I'm just of the opinion it could have been executed in a way that justified being a level 12 boss monster for a final villain,

Its weakness to the Legendary Knight(s) would be too obscure, but can be adjusted to have its effects negated by certain kinds of monsters. These are just initial thoughts without really thinking but Imo, it's to an extent disappointed.

Well trag is also too high a level for what it does ... jokes aside this card alrigth for level 12, is a real boss monster, a generic untargetable monster, which dominates battles and (always) wins when attacking, while being well guarded against attacks, while not having too awkward summoning conditions, sure it would not have broken the card if you could have triggered it yourself (not even with an if ... you can ... effect), however I guess it is still alright for a splashable, funny hand trap, obviously not all too competetive, however still devastating if dropped at the right time.

The weakness to the Knights is obvious, timaeus crashes into it and then revives the knights with a combined attack of 8.4k, that should suffice (though something else has to exist).

The only dissapointing factor is that you cannot trigger it  yourself, however it adds new to the level pool ... now we need more level 11 action.

That was barely a response to me. It was like "Yeah yeah I'm gonna start where you started and go off in another direction over here and not actually touch on your point at all, but its still a response because I quoted you."

I quoted you, because I was stating I disagree on it not being fitting for its level, that the legendary knights do have an obvious way of defeating it and that I am less disappointed about it.

It takes at least 1 turn to get to the point where UTL can meme you for 5000 unless its already on field, which means you just don't summon it. It's literally Tragoedia 2016 that can take advantage of the free turn you receive.

Also profit when you summon this after your Dystopia dies.

Sounds fun with Kishido Spirit.

Wish it was compatible with Mound of the Bound Creator or The Seal of Orichalcos, and/or that its attack had an "opponent can't activate anything while this card attacks" clause like other cards do, or that its Summon was impossible to respond to. Preferably all the above....

In any case, just like with Shunoros: Will probably love the artwork once it is shown in detail and I'll probably end up getting it for nostalgia reasons, but I'm severely disappointed and frankly fed up with half-assed nostalgia bones.... Let's see what happens.

They can always make Deuteros and Tritos or some merged form thereof.

If they do, it's pretty going to have to be "Let's ignore how badly we designed the Seal of Orichalcos"

Honestly, I don't care about Nostalgia. Looking at the Orichalcos stuff, to either release close to the anime or as-is results in stupid stuff on either end of the spectrum

I mean really, there's no way they'd be able to release Geh close to his anime appearance with satisfying effects while also remaining playable and balanced at the same time. They either make him utterly unplayable in terms of inconvencience, or he just sucks way too much. I'm happy that they made his effect more inspired by the anime than just based on the anime; because in his state now, he's playable and actually not that bad.

This goes for the rest of the Orichalcos cards, that would just range from being broken to a sack of crap. Any day I would take a card that's inaccurate to the anime if it's actually a lot more playable and usable in comparison, because nuts to your nostalgia. We get cards to play with them and enjoy them; not look at them and sigh, "Yes, I sure am glad they made this accurate to the anime. Too bad I can't really use it to any degree."

Bleh, rant over. Most of the design on the anime Orichalcos cards is just lazy af, and ranges from bonkers broken to just plain unplayable. I'm glad this card remained separate from all that hot trash and managed to become something pretty good; and hopefully it will see some play.

If only Shunoros and The Seal actually benefited from this distancing from their anime versions.  Geh is literally the first Orichalcos-related card they didn't thoroughly "butcher" with their changes.

Holy dustons guys. I don't think this has been mentioned, so take a look at this.

(4) When this card attacks or is attacked, during damage calculation, you can: Have this card’s ATK become the same as the highest original ATK of a monster on the field.

This effect does not end.

This effect is optional.

Its ATK will stay at whatever the highest original ATK was when you last activated it.

Summon Geh, kill their strongest monster, now their second strongest monster can't just outright kill it.

I had mixed feelings but I think this makes up for my inhibitions quite a bit.

Huh, didn't notice that. That really boosts my opinion of this guy quite a bit.
