mitchermitcher
Isn't there a way that involves less threads being made? Cuz there'll be a sheet ton of threads and everything and it just seems awfully impractical and dull to make for the host and to individually open for me. ~British Soul~
There is a way, but it just isn't worth it with regards to the RR.
Smear
All you kids complaining should've seen the first YCMB. sheet was clunky as funk. this is set up a lot nicer than most of the previous ones actually. Also if I could request, would you be able to link to the members profiles on the voting pages? Maybe just put akinda deal there or something? Would help lurker plebs like me find out who they actually are (if they changed their name, I might know them as another name or something). Nathanael D. Striker
Why is it set up like this? Seriously, a lot of people might not know about two of them but have to vote for one to vote for one of the other two. And what are you gonna do, have the people who gets the most from both pairs get the point or whatever? The most overall? The two most overall?C'mon man if you're gonna do something this janky explain it please. also allow people to vote for themselves, if they want to vote they shouldn't be forced to vote for someone they don't like just to vote because they're up against them.I usually vote for the other person, personally, but I think it's someone's right to vote how they feel like.If you looked at the set-up on challonge, I put both R1 matches for the groups together in the same thread. So yea, each pairing is a separate match within the group. Did that to keep it all together and to not flood Polls since there are two other tournaments happening. And fine, people can vote for themselves given the system.
Shradow
Would help lurker plebs like me find out who they actually are (if they changed their name, I might know them as another name or something). Name change? Who would go and do something like that for the sole purpose of confusing people? :D EDIT: Oh funk, my Alias is active now. My mischievous plan has backfired! Maybe a test in R2 should do? @Smear: That can be arranged. Had to get the threads up quickly last night due to not finding my charger in my packed stuff. Nathanael D. Striker
Round 1 has finished, and we had one tie. Thar had the largest margin of victory, which is somewhat a surprise. Good luck in Round 2, folks.

Nathanael D. Striker
Well, this round has some close matches so far. The defending YMB champion CowCow is in a close one with YMB Redemption co-winner Yui.
Nathanael D. Striker
So people know how the Redemption is being seeded, I'm going to order the seeds by RR record and then go by point differentials. Not sure how challonge is going to seed the final 8, so we'll just have to wait and see.

~British Soul~
So I did some calculations, and as it stands, I'm doing worse than I did last time we had RR in YCMB. (Currently sitting in equal 30th in both number of votes received and points difference from both matches), not that I'm surprised tbph as (apart from the Redemption matches in 6) I have not won a single match whatsoever in these things. ~British Soul~
...and I lose the other match as well, what a funking surprise. Not counting the Redemption in VI, my loss streak in these things is at 7/7 matches. In fact I even did worse here than I did in YCM Brawl V, coming 28th after the Round Robin. (GigaDrillBreaker)
I think that for the next YMB, voting for oneself should be expressly against the rules. When 90% of participants naturally vote for the opponent out of sportsmanship, it gives a significant advantage to those who ignore these courtesies.
