Ladies and Gentlemen, Welcome to the Seventh Edition of YCM Member Brawl.

For those who are unacquainted with the YMB, you can nominate your best friends or members you find to be amazing on YCM, and they will be put to the test in a series of battles.

The member who manages to survive all their battles will be given the prestigious title of YMB Champion.

With that said, let the games begin!

 

NOMINATIONS ARE CLOSED

[spoiler=Match Format]
This will be a 32-member tournament (or however many members we end up with). Nominating moderators are allowed, so go nuts there.
NOTE: Black, Kazooie, Toyo, Sakura, Nai, Hi I'm Dad, and VCR_CAT have requested that they not be nominated. If you don’t want to participate, say so in this thread please.

The first portion of the tournament will divide members into eight pools with four members each. For the first three rounds, each pool will go through a Mini-Round Robin tournament. The winner of each pool will go onto a double elimination to determine the YMB Champion. Like last year though, YMB Redemption will await those who lose; however, only eight spots will be open for those who got second place in each respective pool. YCM Redemption will only be a Single Elimination event.
Each pool will have their own thread for the Round Robin matches. After that, each individual match will have their own thread.

Matches will be determined via Challonge with the Double/Single Elimination seeding being determined by performance in the Mini-Round Robin.

Round 1: 16 matches [RR1]
Round 2: 16 matches [RR2]
Round 3: 16 matches [RR3] – 8 winners move onto Double Elimination/8 second place finishers move onto YMB Redemption
Round 4: 4 matches [DE]/4 matches [sE]
Round 5: 4 matches [DE]
Round 6: 2 matches [DE]/2 matches [sE]
Round 7: 2 matches [DE]
Round 8: 1 match [DE]/1 match [sE]
Round 9: 1 match [DE]

Round 10: 1 match [DE] (if needed)

RR1 means that the first batch of matches will take place; RR2 for the second and so on. DE means Double Elimination and SE means Single Elimination.

This is to make sure YMB threads don't take up the whole of Polls; especially when we do have another tournament playing out at this time.

Also keep in mind that if matches are tied, the winning members will move on together.
Not going to do tiebreaker matches, so just vote the way you want and don't worry if your vote makes it a tie.

(All matches will be marked with the YMB tag, so you will be able to locate them easily)

Match Duration
All matches will terminate 24 hours after posting.

Scoring (for RR matches)
Win = 3 points
Draw = 1 point
Loss = 0 point

1. All regular YCM rules apply. This should be common sense.

2. You are allowed to nominate up to 6 members, however you may not nominate yourself. Leave your nomination to someone else.

3. People need three nominations to officially enter the YMB. If we don’t reach 32 people, then one and two nomination people will then be considered.

4. Nominated members should be relatively active; there's no point in nominating members who've been dead for quite a while.

5. Keep discussion in the tournament threads civil. This also means no forcing people to change their votes; they can vote however they wish.
You must also respect other people's opinions.

6. I reserve the right to nullify votes if it is determined that multiple accounting is at hand (matches will be public voting). But seriously, just vote once and be done.

7. You may change your nominations only once, and you must notify me with the changes in the thread. I highly advise you think over your picks carefully.

I'm confused wtf this is. What are the battles?

 

The concept of the YCM Member Brawl (YMB) is essentially a member popularity contest. 

 

You nominate YCM members, they get pitted in contests against each other and whoever comes through in the end is the YMB champion. It runs very similar to some of the other tournaments in this section, only with actual members here.
