Empress is okay, but it probs has other effects we aren't aware of.

 

Liger is fantastic, especially as you can send in a Swordswoman as your first attack and get some damage off while weakening their best monster. Doesn't target, too, which is always great. 

 

Scout is decent swarm and enables Queen early, bout it, though.

 

Mirror is garbage.

 

Substitution is a battle version of Dramatic Rescue. Rescue is probably going to be more useful, but the fact this doesn't bounce to your hand is important now they have Fusions.

Keep in mind that these cards are [ANIME] only. The TCG/OCG version might be better.

Keep in mind that these cards are [ANIME] only. The TCG/OCG version might be better.

Anime cards tend to at least keep some consistency with the set Archetype/etc they are part of.

These are just outright pointless.

What makes all of these comments so hilarious is that Gloria and Grace are apparently supposed to be some of Duel Academy's best.

And they have an archetype that barely works IRL.

As for the cards themselves, Empress and Liger look cool, and Scout/Spy/whatever you call her gives some much-needed speed to the deck. It's not much in the grand scheme of things, but it's a welcome start.

Seriously though, this is why I dislike the anime's duel writing; what usually makes up for are the characters and story, but even that has issues too big to ignore at times.

Amazoness has no core strategy or mechanism, and it barely even has a boss. These at least give the deck 1) something to focus on and 2) some kind of boss.

 

I seriously don't know what you wanted for new members of a deck with no paystyle beyond "vaguely aggro".

 

And, by the way, the monsters are definitely aggro, so they -DO- fit to that extent.

in the context of anime they're pretty good because in anime it's a damage race and Liger/Empress can push out a ton of damage in conjunction with each other. Card advantage doesn't matter that much because ~topdecking power~ games usually end really fast anyway.
