LK96
Predator PlanterContinuous Spell Once per turn, during your Standby Phase, pay 800 LP or destroy this card. Once per turn: You can Special Summon 1 Level 4 or lower "Predator Plant" monster from your hand or Graveyard, but its effects are negated. Discuss. Thomas★Zero
Well it at least helps with meeting Starve Venom Fusion requirments and also revives Predator Plants from the grave.
cardgameking
Taken in context with the other guys in this archetype, quite really interesting. You probably won't have to pay the cost in the stand-by, as this seems like a big MST or Twisters target, hell even that one that banishes. Makes summoning Venom Fusion easier, though negating their effects is a drag.Hopefully that'll get removed in addition to another sort of buff to get these guys off the ground. Name pisses me off though, thought this would be some kind of SS2 way of placing their counters.

VCR_CAT
Wow, I sure do love judging an archetype based off of three confirmed real cards and one anime card; this DEFINITELY gives a most excellent view of what surely the quality of the deck will be! Sarcasm aside, this could prove to be either very strong or very weak depending on if/how it's released in the real game. Effect negation definitely feels like an unnecessary restriction, but it's at least a card that would help them kickstart plays.
~Faytl~
I'm with VCR, I dunno why people are being so quick to judge Predator Plants when we know so little about them; it's not like Digital Bugs, where what we saw was exactly what we got, these are an archetype we've seen little of being used by a central character in the anime: THEY WILL MAKE MORE, Y'ALL. Very curious when they'll get their own Fusion, though. Right now Starve Venom is about all they can make, unless you tech Dolls for Midrash. Timeline15
Well this goes.... some of the way to what they needed, but it really needs to not negate effects, so you can get some extra predator counters off it. Hope Preds get some fusions of their own too. Starve Venom can't serve as their only ace.
asterr259
They'll probably get Chimera Raff pretty soon. PKs got their manga cards fairly quickly. Or maybe I just didn't notice the wait. But Rafflesia would only matter if we get a Predaplant that reduces ATK as well as level. And a easier way to apply counters. There's a couple ways they can go about these things. With only 4 (5 with raff) cards, i'll continue reserve judgement because this does look like an interesting archetype.
The Highlander
Perfect ... and still that 1.6k plant is terrible, however this card is quality support ... still not enough on its own, however that is not necessary ... and if I might remind you knights and roids started out amazing ... fine I will admit performapals were the opposite ... for now this card is more than I expected from 1 character against x idiots, which get one-shot before being allowed to attack, very impressive getting a swamp king/gate level of card ... at least almost. Tinkerer
I just hope that with a card like this they get more stuff like Skid with an "if this card leaves the field" effect.
Snatch Steal
....eh???? Honestly, from deck no restrictions would be fine. The cards were so forgettable that I don't even remember what they do. Something about lockdown I guess. At least Koomy is kind of trying to stop the "you can't play ygo" strategy.
evilfusion
I figured they'd get something like this in the anime to enable swarm and enable Starve Venom's Summon Condition. But they still need more. And stronger stuff.

But they still need more. And stronger stuff. In the anime the materials don't have to be on the field. Anywho, what I would be interested in is a Predator Plant that keeps your opponent from getting rid of their own monsters, something that counter Decks need, IMO, to fully utilise their effects. evilfusion
Yeah, I remember that Yuri fused from the hand the first time Starve Venom was Summoned, and that annoys me to some extent, but since they are releasing Predator Plants and Starve Venom with the condition, I expected Yuri to get anime support that will nudge the Deck towards enabling RL Starve Venom. Plus, Predator Plants needed something to put more of them on the Field. I expect them to get more, and better stuff as time goes on.
~Faytl~
The anime version, I beleive, requires the materials to be on the field IF you want to get the atk gain effect, otherwise you just don't get the gain effect.
heraldry_lord
The anime version, I beleive, requires the materials to be on the field IF you want to get the atk gain effect, otherwise you just don't get the gain effect. The thing is that they could have just kept it like that, but they were apparently too afraid of Dragon's Mirror being able to Summon SVFD.
