Structure Deck R: Kikairyuu Hanran

The next Structure Deck R has apparently been announced. And it’s for a theme that’s been used very prominently in ARC-V (for Academia)

 

Comes out in September (presumably with the Extra Pack)

Name indicates it’s a remake of Kikai no Hanran (released in the West as Machine Re-Volt)

So basically “Machine Dragon Re-Volt” or something similar.

Which, based purely on name related conjecture, means it’s unlikely we’ll be seeing any of the Ancient Gear Dogs since the set sounds like it’s focused on a buffed version of Gadjiltron Dragon. Unless we do.

So yeah, they're retraining SD10 for the third one (presumably). We don't know if Gadjiltron Dragon is getting a new form or really anything, but given the name, looks likely.

 

Maybe AGs will get that push to become relevant in the current game [assuming that it is true], or they might not. Let's see what happens, but over all, what do you all think?

Despite what they assume the Deck will be, I really hope we get Chaos Giant, and they just make it need 5x Ancient Gear monsters, or whatever..

Srsly, Ancient Gear Chaos Giant is a DARK/Machine; it already has Overload Fusion going for it.

Certainly the expanded Gadgets team will be featured in the Deck, but since it's also feat Academia cards the Gadgets will all be a one-of and the Ancient Gear cards might have slight interaction with the boss.

 

But, if it hints at a retrained AGGD appearing in the anime...!

Again, we don't know if they will retrain Gadjiltron Dragon (I'm thinking they will, if SR02/Felgrand was anything to consider), but I figured you'd take interest in this Deck.

 

I don't think they'll reprint the new Gadgets so soon after their release in DP17 (it'll depend if this retrain actually needs Gadgets to work, or will be geared towards AG monsters instead). I'll reserve judgment on this stuff actually appearing on the Academia's end (to be fair, it's only Obelisk Force using them right now). Though, taking into consideration TDIL cards are being transformed into promos for the 2016 tins, suppose they could actually give us those Gadgets (maybe add another one or something).

 

Still got a few months to see what else comes up, but yeah looking forward to whatever's in here (despite not actually playing the SD10 deck when it came out that far back).

Maybe they'll throw Fortress in here as a tech card or something (since it is indeed one of the best cards Machines could get), but I don't know about the rest (if they will, depending if it'll have synergy with stuff they're trying to promote here). Otherwise, maybe they'll rehash that one at a later time (or ditch it in favor of the other old Structure Decks from the GX era).

1. Think Koko just mentioned Gadjiltron since the cover card is presumably a retrain of Dragon, but I don't know. 

 

2. Not sure if Dennis will get his cards added here (maybe Chaos Fusion, but let's see what they do here). Rest are basically the Hound Dogs and their subsequent Fusions. Don't know about the OF stuff though; maybe they'll get their backrow printed. JMR only has Shield and Devil to offer (and I doubt they'll be printed here)

 

Taking the above with a grain of salt though until we actually see things; I may be wrong about some of the predictions and they do get printed after all.
