Here's my explanation for the flavor of my submission:

 

The name "Enkel" is a corruption of "Link", while the "Spirit Hero" bit refers to the Hero's Shade, the Legend of Zelda entity in the card art.

 

In terms of the DARK attribute, I chose it as opposed to something like LIGHT Zombie because DARK is not always evil, per se. Also a bit of a call back to Dark Magician, this being a Warrior and DM being a Spellcaster.

 

Other than that, I have no objections to my result.
