Preparing For Worlds

So, the 2016 World Championships are going to be in Orlando, and while I am not going to participate, I do plan to attend, and I want some advice regarding making a deck to have fun duels with.

I would like a deck that:

1. Is relatively cheap ($100 or less).
2. Is relatively strong, and can win a good amount of duels.
3. Is preferably good with singles, as I cannot side worth sheet.

4. DOES NOT INVOLVE FLOODGATES WHATSOEVER.

Any ideas?

I don't consider Monarchs to be very fun.

And probably a lot of people will be using them.

Well, its the only deck that fits the first 2 categories. Its the only deck that can hold up in competitive play for under 100$ because everything else requires an extra deck, which means not 100$.

Try going to TCGplayer and see the More Bang with your Bucks articles. Decks featured there are usually costing lower than $100 and pretty fun, since you're not really chasing big wins on the event after all.

 

Once you see something you like, develop from there.

If you feel like being a douche, Chain Burn is dirt cheap. Even with Card of Demise, you're looking at less than $100. Though if you want to actually enjoy Yu-Gi-Oh, maybe Geargia could be a decent option?

They've been significantly power-crept and don't have good meta matchups, but in themselves all they've lost is Ptolemaus, which was only really important to make Diamond in the Shaddoll matchup, so they're still playable.
