Snatch Steal
Ok, so maybe it's a little offensive to say "gas the jews." But honestly, this isn't even close to a hate crime. He's clearly joking. If you're offended by this, you're in my prayers. He's not even directing this at someone (well, except jews and homosexuals, but they dont count as people again, he's joking) Literally step away from the computer and it can't do anything to you. "Teach him the least cute thing I can think of" He is literally against nazism omg people

cr47t
In order for something to be a hate crime, in my opinion, it has to be 1) an actual crime and 2) with a hateful as well as prejudiced motive. This fails to live up to the first of the two and I have no way of defining if it fits the second. Now, I am not defending this; nazism is still an unacceptable culture and so is his action in creating the video. But unless this actually breaks the law, it's not a crime. IQuitDolphin
Sigh, I really don't want to bring politics into this, but this is an example of Freedom FROM Speech, not Freedom OF Speech. I quote, the officers stated that "caused offence and hurt to many people in our community". WELL WHOOP-DE-DOO. LIFE ISN'T FAIR. YOU WILL GET CRITICIZED, YOU'LL BE HATED. This is bullshit like "I don't want my feelings to be hurt so I will block all content that I do not like" that is supported by so many people. In addition, the charge states that "Posting offensive material online or in any other capacity will not be tolerated and police will act swiftly to tackle hate crimes that are motivated by malice or ill-will". There IS NO MALICE OR ILL-WILL. The motive was for HUMOR, and if people don't see that, then you're bringing emotional bullshit into the case that should be decided by the rule of law. Goddamn it. If you have time to worry about HATE SPEECH maybe you should use that time instead to focus on things that, idk, actually advance society? Like taking down ISIL, an organization of evil? Oh right, Europe doesn't know what's good and what's evil anymore.

epicmemesbro
I heard of this video and i knew it was the subject of controversy but I didn't think the creator of it would be arrested.I know that there are laws in alot of European countries that outlaw Nazi imagery and symbolism but the creator of the video clearly was not intentionally promoting racial prejudice. Even if he was serious I personally don't think he should be arrested. This is actually mild compared to other channels who are intentionally posting some borderline law breaking content/tactics but instead they go after this guy??
