An anti-Pendulum Extra Deck monster.

Card A:

v2cG1fd.jpg

2 Monsters with ATK less than 2000

During either player's turn, if a card is activated in your opponent's Pendulum Zone: You may shuffle 1 card from your hand into your deck; Fusion Summon this card from your Extra Deck by shuffling the required monsters from your hand, field or graveyard into the deck. Both players must Set Spell Cards before activating them, and cannot activate them until their next turn. Monsters you control cannot be destroyed by card effects whilst your opponent controls a face-up Spell card.

Card B:

Pendulum Siphoner

*****

Psychic/Synchro/Effect

DARK

2000/1500

1 tuner + 1 or more non-tuner(s)

During your Main Phase, if either player can Pendulum Summon Level 5: You can also Special Summon this card from your Extra Deck, but you cannot Pendulum Summon during the turn you activate this effect. You can only Special Summon 1 "Pendulum Siphoner" per turn. This card gains 100 ATK for each Pendulum Card on the field. If this face-up card is destroyed: You can return it to the Extra Deck, and if you do: You can shuffle all synchro materials used to Synchro Summon this card into the deck, then target face-up Pendulum Monsters in either player's Extra Deck, up to the number of monsters shuffled into your deck; shuffle those into their owner's deck.

I was going to vote on this on Saturday, but needed to check a few things before I did (in terms of how certain cards worked)

Anyway, Card A is basically a walking Anti-Spell Fragrance on an 18/26 body that can respond to the opponent setting their Scales with its summoning. Granted, you actually need to have a card in hand to pay for its inherent "Contact Fusion" cost, but the materials are still reasonable enough (most Decks should have at least a few monsters under the 2K mark). You can still use regular Poly (or whatever Fusion methods you want to bring this out) on your turn. It also forces the opponent to either get rid of their Scales (or really, any Spell Card they have up) if they want to pop you with common removal methods (i.e. Destroyer, Raigeki, etc.) but they still can destroy you in battle or just bounce remove stuff.

Last time I checked, Anti-Spell is still a side card if needed (may be wrong on this since I don't really play matches nowadays) so the fact this card is pretty much that in monster form helps it. I'd think most Decks have suitable material for making this. That, and considering 'pals and the like are still seeing constant play, I do see this card being used more often than not.

-------

Card B is in an awkward state of things. Right now, I don't seem to recall any Decks that can realistically make Level 5 Synchros (outside of Synchrons and some other stuff), but given its inherent SSing effect, that may not be too much of an issue (depending if Scales are up), however that means you have no Synchro Material and you can't bounce anything. I am probably iffy about a free 2K monster that comes out of nowhere if either player can PS Level 5 (though it does lock you from P-Summoning that turn as well). At best, you can probably return 2 or 3 cards max. if you Synchro Summon this properly (unless you run Level 1.dek and can spam multiple monsters for this). Not saying that it's a bad thing (bouncing 2 monsters is nice), but given the fact Level 5 isn't really common with most meta Decks if I remember for Synchro Summons, I don't see it working out much.

----

Card A gets it here for better usefulness in the long run, even if it is basically Anti-Spell with protection. B is nice as a bouncer (and being able to re-trigger itself if you can P-Summon), but aside from boosting, it can't do much else afterwards given the fact you didn't Synchro Summon it.

Assuming that my time conversion isn't off, it should be May 18th, 1:21 am for you two at the moment. (It's still the 17th; 2:21 pm on my end)

-----

Unless either of you still has final remarks about the voting, card A wins 1-0. (More voters might've been nice, but at this point, this is to be expected a lot of the time)

One of you report the result in the Leaderboard thread so Striker can mark it. (It doesn't matter whom)
