I know i know, you're not used to me posting two topics in the same week

well there's an interesting video that some of you might enjoy watching, in the words of some guy i know, it provides a nice contrast to the "trump's a racist swine" thing a lot of people here seem to have going on recently.

thoughts and opinions on it would be much appreciated.

The problem isn't that Trump is a racist.  The problem is that (no longer including the KKK because he successfully denounced them), but hate groups all over are following this man.  He can't distance himself from all of it, but he better funking try.

The waterworks touch was nice, but I guess this is just another video.  When you're friends with someone that powerful of course you're gonna vote for them.

Funny how this is absolutely not the man that's been put on display in terms of Trumps own campaign (and the reason I bring it up is because the campaign staff has gone ON RECORD that things like his twitter account is 100% unfiltered), and that she has heavy bias in favour of Trump and his family.

No I dont think she's being objective, and therefore I think this should be treated as exactly what it is. A HIGHLY personal experience with Trump, tainted by also being employed by him.

I'm not even gonna bother picking this sheet appart, because there's no point to it, anyone with even half a brain can see why Trump is COMPLETELY unfit for office

just because racists follow him should not affect his image. they don't affect his policies, so i don't see why they matter. racists vote too, and they're going to be, for the most part, conservative, so the fact that they back trump is not really a surprise. the surprise comes when they realize he's nowhere near the racist that people paint him to be, his views are twisted enough in the news that i thought he was the devil too until i looked at him from other angles. the guy's not that all bad (as a person), and i doubt that racists look lower than the surface often enough, so it's pretty much a given that they vote for the person most demonized by the media. trump gives zero f***s about being demonized though, so i doubt they'll stop following him. they don't make him worse, they just allow people to demonize him more via outside people.

idfc that trump is a racist or a sexist or whetever he is his economics is f***ing terrible he could ban every non american from american or whatever the f*** he wants to alienate china and isolate the USA is terrible logic and idfc he should not be president. f*** trump. f*** this video. f*** the wall, f*** his muslim policy. the wall, is an ignorant plan, i'm with you there, it's too expensive and the costs of building, maintenance, and upkeep would be a nightmare upon the budget. that much i agree with. i can't see any real way that that would work, and if he has one, then now would probably be the best time to tell us. on the other hand, he does not want to keep out all Mexicans as some people claim, he wants to keep out illegal immigrants, and that is a world of difference.

in addition, he does not want to alienate china, he wants to establish more of a spine for america, as things are, america is (for lack of better symbolism)  beneath china's foot in business and economic strength, his stance is that he wants to make america able to compete with china on equal grounds so that the country can start coming back up to compete against our losing jobs. again. if you look at pretty much every time he speaks of china, he gives them compliments and acknowledges their achievements. he always says "china's doing amazing economically" or "china's doing better business than us" he wants to make america capable of competing with them, he never says "f*** china" or "china's full of s***" he just wants america to be able to go toe to toe with china instead of having to fall behind, and to that end, he wants to establish better incentives for businesses to remain in america, you can argue what incentives that would be, but the core idea is very solid.

Muslim policy is 100% spot on though, he want's to slow the flow of Muslim immigrants so that there's enough time t implement background checks, and i cannot say i disagree with that, there are people coming across who would gladly end their own lives to get a shot in, and doing a bit of verification would save a lot of lives in this country. trying to pretend everything's all roses when there exist many Muslims who would gladly kill themselves just to kill a few of us is just ignorance.

so it's biased? so what? it's still valid considering she is with him longer than any of us are on a day to day basis. just because it's a personal experience with the people in question makes her no less of a valid witness. you can hate his politics, that's something that i can say is at least based upon reason and i have nothing against that, but some people just make him out to be the devil with no actual objections. his twitter may be unfiltered, but that doesn't change anything, it's honest opinions, you can fire at him over it, but he goes off on everybody, and he's not always wrong in what he criticizes. he gives nicknames to everybody and he actually enjoys it when they fire back, that's the sign of a fair shot. he gives as well as he takes, and that's something worth respecting. he doesn't say others can't fire back, he invites them to do so, it's just verbal sparring.

of course she's in favor of him, that doesn't mean her opinion becomes null and void, how is it not objective? just because she's spent enough time with him to see other sides of him? he might be a dick, but he's not some abusive monster, he's not out there killing babies so there's no disconnect between what she says and what he does. she's literally stating facts (yes, those facts are peppered with opinions) in the video, she's calling out the people who demonize him and threaten him, reminding people that that same abrasiveness and brass balls behavior that people hate so much comes with the dedication to stand by and support the people they trust unwaveringly. the man's human, flawed like the rest of us, but at the very least he's owed as much respect as is given to any politician. hell, trump at the very least, is running a far cleaner campaign than hillary clinton and ted cruz have been. he might be abrasive, but he runs a clean race, and that makes him at least as worthy of office as hillary or ted.

Let me just start this by saying the comparison you're trying to make, doesnt hold water. One is a hate group known for some pretty vile behaviour, another is citizens sick to death over how their own political system is being used and abused by the 1%.

Oh and while Sanders didnt distance himself from the protestors precisely, he did release a statement where he condemns physical violence.

And you know why he didnt completely cut ties with them? Because that's the point of his campaign.

He knows that you're gonna have to shake the table when the system is corrupt and being abused to the point of election fraud going on right on front of peoples faces, and most americans barely even bat an eye.

Violence is nowhere near justified, but when you aim to change a system that's been fundamentaly corrupted and have people doing everything in their power to silence you, yeah, maybe the kid gloves need to come of as long as it doesnt get violent

Ohhhh, guess what the Trump supporters are...citizens sick to death over how their own political system is being used and abused by the one percent.

There's a good reason he's statistically tied with Clinton in Hispanic Heavy Florida and liberal leaning Pennsylvania

Trump released multiple statements directly condeming the KKK in a shorter time frame, but guess that's inconvenient for you to accept right?

That's the point of his campaign? Vile? Since you're clearly above reading, I'll give you a tiny except

In your own words, Violence is no where near justified, so I guess you'll be wanting sanders to personally apologize 5-6 like Trump had to do cause some dumbfuck was supporting him

Are you really incapable of seeing how bias you are? Or are you just unwilling to see it?

This article features two quotes of importances; '"I want to see the full tape. I don't condone violence. I'm going to look at,"

Just throwing that one out there because it's worth saying.

The second is arguably more important - '"If you see somebody getting ready to throw a tomato, knock the crap out of them," Trump said. "Just knock the hell — I promise you, I'll pay the legal fees."

Trump also said this. Which means there was a time where he was advocating violence. Which already painted him in a different light to other candidates who have had to respond to supporters going to far. So the Sanders comparison is kinda lessened because he has at no point condoned or desired violence.

Additionally, the reason why the KKK required him to denouce it multiple times is because the typical idea of a Trump support is a fairly idiotic racist. It's the same for a lot of 'National Pride' campaigns you see in europe like UKIP or the BNP, who heavily encourage isolationism, parade on ideas of making nations or cultures great and similar such migration policies as to Trump. Now obviously Trump does not support those kinds of racist ideas. But that's the association his campaign had built, which is why when the KKK endorses him, it requires a f*** tonne of positive press to spin that idea.

So if you want to blame anyone, blame the impression that Trumps policies due to having to appeal to the less sane elements of the right wing, has built for the man and his campaign. And blame the god-damn media for blowing up every little thing the man says.

It's a shame that people are biased because of those impressions, but there's always a grounding for it, be it media bias or voter base.

to be fair, he was telling them that to prevent further disruption. on the other hand, yeah, he did advocate violence, but it was at the very least only mentioned in response to the people who were already inciting violence towards his protesters. doesn't excuse violence, but i have a similar mentality to those statements, if somebody's about to incite violent disruption, i'm going to use equal violence to stop them.
