Private Security in South Africa.

Recommended Posts

essentially, the criminals outnumber the cops, the cops are as corrupt as the criminals, and the private security is doing a better job than the actual cops. this is just sad. there's no solution that i can think of that would fix this in any reasonable amount of time. complacence will get you killed on the first day in that line of work.

Private security seems less promising than the usual cops, since most of the employees are less experienced, in my opinion, and isn't really official , still, it might turn out better otherwise to fight crime....

actually, as the video said, many of the cops and millitary are the ones who are inexperienced. and the private security sector is actually made up of a lot of former soldiers/cops. the private security sections have faster response times and solve/prevent more situations overall than the cops in that area.

In many ways, private security contractors might be more effective than conventional law enforcement. Of course it would depend on their limitations. I mean theoretically speaking, they wouldn't be bound by the same policies as their law enforcement. Of course if there is a bigger rise it may lead to harsher regulations. But at this point i'm sure the public is fed up with their polices' ineptitude at this point and will most likely approve of a private security team.

I agree with you after realizing the same fact in my country.......The cops are the "lower" ones

Americans complaining about police brutality and racial discrimination in the US should be grateful they don't have to go through this.

Tbh this is a shitty excuse for the brutality and discrimination that does go on.

"Well I may be covered in 3rd degree burns and stuck in a house fire but hey at least I'm not like that dead guy over there, I can get used to this"

Different topics different solutions.

I wasn't defending the people causing all the ruckus down there.

I was just comparing that people should maybe complain about our police stuff a bit less and maybe work to help work on this problem (and not make it worse).
